I get that it’s supposed to feel arcade-like, but they could make it more fun whilst still having that arcade flair. Take the Run for example. It actually required a level of skill to control the cars whilst still having that arcade whimsy to it where you can drift a car around a corner at 100+ mph. There is a certain balance that can be achieved to keep the game engaging, and unfortunately NFS has lost that.

Indeed but what makes the old more fun was that even if the game was arcade it retained a realistic approach compare to the new ones. If you look at Porsche Unleashed/ Porsche 2000 physics they went backwards totally.

You can have arcade physics that are satisfying and rewarding. I haven't played Unbound, but I have played Heat. Heat wants to be so many things, racer, drifter, offroad, that everything feels compromised. My personal favorite is still Porsche Unleased, where you had to manage throttle and braking because those Porsches would come around on you if you weren't paying attention.
