Better graphics with this game might break it somehow. Sounds trange, but the ps2 graphics gave the game atmosphere somehow. (at least on a CRT monitor) When i played the game in pcsx2 on the pc with hardware mode it gave lots of graphics bugs (even after cheats and fixes) and somehow the better graphics killed it all. The only way to proper play this game is with the use of a real ps2 or play it in software mode through pcsx2(if you have strong pc specs). The pc version of hot pursuit 2 sucks, but includes online multiplayer. Hopefully ps5 will support all ps2 and disc games because of rumored backward compatibility. For now i couldnt wait so i bought a real ps2 with nfs underground 1&2, carbon, most wanted 2005 and hot pursuit 2. At least i can use the discs for ps5 in the future if full backward compatibility is happening. Also Outrun 2 Coast to Coast is a great game, although expensive for ps2.

I used to ride the barriers as a little kid but playing forza and racing sims thought me how to actually turn corners now when I boot up my PS2 and play NFS Hot Pursuit 2 I drift around them corners in the HSV GTS like a badass.
