I remember my longest chase was just going around and around it for an hour. Then I ran over a spike strip outside the tunnel near the golf area and by some miracle managed to escape by crawling over the ledge to the road below. I still play it from time to time.😩👌

@@LoboPoderosoSDLsame. Also got a sub 7 min run with the non-Junkman Murcielago. Think my fastest time was sub-6 min 50s with a junkman Carrera GT.

In the remake, car feels 2 times bigger and slower for some reason. Looking forward to this project :)

@@soukoup5372 No. Look at how big the car lanes are compared to the car. You felt smaller before. You are zooming by a big world in a small car, not casually maneuvering an average average car in an average city. People drive bikes for a reason, and fast cars look cooler the less bulk it has. I want to cut through, not bumble along in my appropriately sized car. It felt bigger and faster, because the small cars had unreasonably fast speed in that world. The world feels smaller while you are still driving just as fast. The car is less wide in the old one. Might just be perspective, but it makes a difference to the experience. It's too realistic, and it felt like there was no danger as long as there was no cars in the new one. Tell me that it doesn't feel better driving through that toll booth in the old one 1:07

The driving dynamics are better conveyed in 2005. You feel that the car is going fast. By the way the camera shakes on uneven roads and other little things. In 2024, the car is simply floating along the road. There is no feeling that you are behind the wheel

Looking good but I hope you plan to eventually model over the existing map and not just sticking with a straight port of the map from 2005.. That and we need the piss filter back :p!

Give me cracked roads, a filter setting for constant yellow sunrise feel and a smaller car size/ bigger world/roads. Make me feel small in a big world! Not chonky in an average street! Where are the RUBlE effects!? Is my head on a gyroscope!? Looks good so far though.
