Both games are really good. I've been playing FH5 and other Forza Horizon series (2 & 3). And i grew up playing nfs on my old ps2 and psp. I could say that both have different approaches to the racing game genre. Comparing their graphics doesn't seem to matter much as FH5 was released earlier but, what we could compare is the gameplay itself where i think it would depend on what flavors you prefer. It is always nice to switch from these two games from time to time

Forza sounds are better it’s just a lot of them are duplicated on other cars because there’s over 800 cars in forza, nfs used the same sounds for years now though only minor changes where as forza usually updates some sounds as the game progresses, forza has some bad ones like the raspy eBay exhaust but easily fixable with a race exhaust upgrade

Forza probably thinks that the majority of turbos (except stock) are twin-scroll, meaning there wouldn't be a need for ANTILAG. Although I do love the sound of BOV/turbo flutter adjustment.

@@recon1673 that makes 100% no sense bud lol. A twin scroll turbo actually spools up much slower than a single scroll turbo. So therefore, you would actually want anti-lag even more if you're on a twin scroll turbo. Regardless, any turbo application is going to benefit drastically from an anti-lag setup. It doesn't matter if it's single scroll or a twin scroll. But in the case of what you said, it would actually be the complete opposite. Not trying to be rude. Just correcting you so you don't make the same comment elsewhere with people that might not explain it as nicely as I just did. Google it next time :)

Each game is beautiful and sounds good. But Forza Horizon felt boring after some hours cause the world is like a pretty interactive painting and you get so many iconic super cars that I did not even try them all yet. It also showers you with money so you can buy most cars after som hours in the game. In Unbound I have to work for every car and earn it. Every car I buy/win feels special and so I care more for them. The betting and entry fees combined with the cops, adds a tension and thrill to the game. The world is also much denser with traffic, pedestrians and speed gates, drift challenge and so on. And also those activities feels important cause you need money for most part of the game to get better cars and upgrade them. I have 30 hrs in Unbound and I love it more and more.

So each is unique in their own aspect. NFS has always been about arcade-style racing, while forza attempts to stay true to simulation. The sounds are going to be their own version of the car for each game. I love both because it's hard to choose just one or the other.

I spend hours playing forza in online mode with random players, we run, skid and walk around the map, sometimes I spend hours customizing various types of jdm cars that I love, there are even cars that I see like datsun, volvos I can't stop playing with jdm from the 90's, after i started playing in cockpit i couldn't play in 3 person, let Forza motorsport come so excited I always run with jdms from the 90s Class A or B, they don't exceed 300 km/h I try to make them as jdm as possible from the 90s in japan, sometimes it's kind of hard to find someone to race with the same type most dos player forza usually plays with cars like ferrari or any super car but it's cool

It really all depends on what you want out of a racing game. I want a game where the handling is realistic, I have a crazy amount of options for what car to drive and I want the ease of access to drive whatever car I like. IMO the “story mode” racing games where you have to grind for a car then grind to build said car just isn’t fun anymore, now that I am an adult I simply don’t have the time to play hours of NFS to unlock something with 400HP. If Forza had NFS customization with the NFS map it would be the best racing game of all time. NFS is for people who want the experience of being the cool underground racer and evading cops and all that, Forza is for people whose enjoy cars.

Also an adult and I hate how forza gives you a hypercar within the first 10 minutes. It ruins the sense of progression, wheelspins are cheesy, and races don't pay you enough. The ai needs a vast improvement, and the map is bland. 7/10 FH1, 2 and 3 are better. Tuning is sweet and is the only reason I play it.

What other racing games have over NFS is usually a "better"/"realistic" handling and or physics and sometimes a bit more realistic atmosphere and or visuals, but overall that's just most games these days trying to be hyper realistic, it's at the moment a norm that has gotten boring to see. So what I wanna know is, what do the other racing games have that is better than NFS since most important aspects in a racing game are the races and cars... the other aspects are things that add flavor to the game and make it more exciting and unique, and are all something NFS dominates in since it's the only game that has the whole package, no other game has customization, cops, storyline, overall car culture and street racing in one game, you either have professional racing only like GT, AC, FM and such or have a story driven game like FH and other games that have customization and cops like TC but not much else. So it's weird when people say other games beat NFS in most aspects when they don't even have most aspects.

If only EA brings back Burnout... now with Criterion back, they can reclaim the throne with Burnout. Burnout is the Doom of racing games, everyone and their grandma knows it and it's soundtracks. NFS would be the Call of Duty of racing games, and Forza would be the Insurgency / Arma of racing games. Even Burnout's engine which is Renderware is still alive inside Rockstar's RAGE that is used on Midnight Club, GTA and RDR.

On most of the cars the sounds are better in nfs, they just sound more natural, a lot of the sounds in fh5 sound a bit synthetic. Lights on older cars especially look much better in nfs, also the tires look much better too. Fh5 looks amazing in certain lighting and quite bad in others, while nfs looks good most of the time.

It doesn't exactly help that FH5 isn't being ran at max here. The game is designed to be ran by a far wider array of PCs (check system requirements on steam), so naturally, the game looks nowhere near as good when on low so that it can support older hardware. You can see the absurd pop in at about 3:50, the lines on the road aren't being fully loaded even just mere meters in front, but on max, or even just high, that's not an issue. NFS 100% sounds better, cannot deny that at all. It's just a shame that the graphics comparison here is very clearly half-assed for views.

Personally I prefer NFS over FH but that's just because I prefer the type of gameplay that NFS has to offer. I've never really loved that FH has tried to be the marriage of the (kind of) sim style and arcade. I think I like those two things separate where they can really shine for what they are. Not what they're halfway trying to be. That's why I will always prefer NFS over FH.

basically nfs has amazing costumization but handeling is sht and is stupid hard for no reason. fh5 is boring and it lacks the costumization but you will have a lot more fun with the cars cuz the handiling is more real even tho is arcade and you still have a sim option . plus if you get game pass for a month and its like one dollar first time you can play fh5 plus other good games and you can try nfs unbound i think for 10 hours

You Forza Horizon addicts always were very competitive over a game that never really had realistic vehicle sound affects, but instead, always sounded like shit. @alered9808 is right when saying, "NFS Unbound wins," as a matter a fact, NFS in general has always sounded better than all the Forza Horizon games and not only that, but even Crew 1 & 2 so... its not that people don't have the money.
