Here's the deal with the 'donations'. You're providing a real service. You're saving us time and money by sharing knowledge that would otherwise be a very real expense if we were trying to sort all this out on our own. It's not a gift, it's not a tip, it's not a hand down... it's genuinely money paid for services rendered. FPV might be taking over the world, but it's such isolated pockets spread out. I learned so much from you, and others like yourself, from youtube. The learning curve is a steep one. At other times, and other fields, people took classes, found apprenticeships, studied books, etc. Today, we got you. YOU have VALUE, and are providing VALUE, to this community. In this freelancing gig economy we now live in, what you're doing here with Project Blue Falcon is as legit a 'job' as anything. Not asking for you to jump back into Patreon or whatever. Just your approach to this fantastic service you provide, and your reluctance to taking anything in return... Please just feel it out a bit more, give it a little more thought? As for your channels, it is nice being able to tune into specifically FPV tech stuff, but wouldn't have any problem with it all in one channel :-)

I think merging is a good idea, simplifies keeping up on what's going on. Maybe use some sort of titling standard for your videos, like adding "vlog" or something like that to the title so when someone is scanning through they know what sort of content to expect. Love your channel, keep up the good work!

Your channel is already super easy to navigate through playlists so separate channels seems redundant. I would say keep the channels separate and where you feel the need to, you can refer viewers to the other channel for "more info" or a "behind the scenes" kind of thing. I used to have just one channel, it was pretty much just RC / FPV content, but then one day I went on a day trip to London and posted some videos of that and some videos of the concert I went to. I had some subscribers comment negatively on those videos because they were expecting RC/FPV and were presented with something they have absolutely zero interest in. I then created my new channel (this one I'm commenting from) purely for RC and FPV content, but have been unable to get my subscriber count back up to what my old channel had.

Jc , could you please review the Nero f7 flight controller, Matek f4 and Matek HOBSTosd pdb. I think all the electrical noise from the osd or pdb pads on the flight controller board with cause weird oscillations with the 32k gyros. The microprocessor is going to need all the cycles to run the pid loop at 32k. I think the Matek and Red Rotor pdb osd will be popular again when running 32k.

Hi JC! Great to see you on FPVlive! I just did the opposite of what you are considering doing. I just created a channel exclusively for PPV. That is why it is empty. My opinion: KEEP EM' SEPARATED. You will loose the ones that are here just for the tutorials (that are so F__ng amazing and successful) because you would be forcing them to see something they didn't sign up to. My suggestion would be, promote each channel with each other a lot more. You could say in your tutorials things like "Check my cool vlog BLA_BLA on JCo with RandomFPV and check how good this flight controller handles...." you get my idea. And of course link to the vid. Same the other way around. At the description of the vlog or within it if it comes natural you can refer to the video in this channel where you repair an ESC of one of your buddies. I was personally very disapointed on Mr.Steele when he started to change his channel. I wanted to see him doing what he does best: flying. He is somehow back, but there was this period of time where he wanted to expose himself as a celebrity and that was sad. Whatever you do I wish you all the best!!! This is just my opinion and my wish but who am I? nobody.

I would love for you to try out the Revolt FC i often hear that i has the best technical layout... I have a few and I find them a absolute bitch to tune.. and the one million versions of firmware kinda annoys me... so some tricks and tips would go a long way! And merge... a proper video title sorts everything out...

edit: I am an idiot! Can u make a video about analog "HD" camera resolution (monster v2 1200TVL 1280x960) vs HD (connex 720p)? The camera has a 1280×960 resolution but the fatshark dominator has only got 800x480 screens. The fatsharks are a bottleneck right? Can u find someone with a connex system at FPV Fest and compare the analog monster v2 with the connex system using the HD goggles used with the connex and maybe add a 600TVL camera for reference? This would be a preview of what's to come when fatshark finally releases their true HD goggles. This would be a cool vlog/lifestream style video for facebook. Heck even get Random's opinion.

Resolution of the displayed image is limited by the video standard being used ie NTSC/Pal and RF bandwidth available, since each standard specifies the band width it should occupy and the resolution of the image. Being such an old standard many modern video cameras and displays can offer more resolution but you will only see marginal gains. This is true for all analogue transmissions. Connex uses a digital transmission standard and compression similar to digital broadcast TV to get it's higher resolution. As you can probably gather it is not popular with miniquad flyers because it is bulky and expensive.

Random FPV yohoo. thank you guys so much. Scotty Do fpv successfully installed a taranis stock gimbal on his evolution. I asked him if he could install mhall, he is also interested but he woudl wait for the m7 hall gimbal for better fittings.
