Just the tiniest bit of change in the tones adds so much dimension. Super busy until the end of the month, but then I'm definitely giving this a go.

I am starting my portrait today, cant wait to try out the technique with the face where as you traced the head outline and felted that then iron it then use the iron on transfer pen for the facial features. I had a hard time with this part and I will try it this way, can't wait! Thanks for another great video!!!

Thanks for all your felting fun on this too hot afternoon! I think I learned enough to at least approach a face. Good practice while waiting for Kimberlys class.

I already have these LF colors, enough left from other projects thanks to the generous quantities, no excuse not to try this! I definitely need to get the iron on transfer pens. In our FB Group I see so many fantastic 2Ds & pictures, I'm so ready to try it!

Thank you for this episode! It is so helpful for the current project that I am working on. I especially loved the tip of doing the base first and then the markings. I really needed the lip color demonstration also - I wouldn’t have imagined those colors for the lips and was struggling on the color in my project.

Marie, have you tried using Crown needles? they have a single barb on each side of the needle close to the tip. this means the depth required to engage the fibers is very shallow. it is not as aggressive at moving fiber as a T40-333 or T40-222 needle but may reduce the want of some felters to drive the needle deeply into the felting surface. i have seen them most often offered in T40-111 and T42-111 but just spotted a T46-111 which would be for very fine fibers. i have been enjoying your videos Thank you for sharing!

You mentioned kits for the new upcoming classes. After signing up for a class, are the kits purchased on the felting tutorial site or on the living felt site? I would love to use the anniversary gift certificate I have for a class kit, but don't know if that is possible.
@LivingFelt2 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, the supplies and kits are still purchased from www.livingfelt.com, but supply lists and the link to kits (when available) are available after registering.

Have you thought about making the felt pads thicker? I am always poking through the pad
@LivingFelt2 жыл бұрын
They get a lot more pricey...if you stack 2, that would give you a thicker base...and would be similar in cost. Vary your angle and keep with finer needles on 2D work.
@colleenleighty57152 жыл бұрын
Can we buy more than one mc1 now? Or still one of each color. Thanks! I need a palm washboard too so getting my order ready soon.

Still on a limit, but it will change :)
@mmedeuxchevaux10 ай бұрын
I have a question - how do you make really thin lines? That's what I have great difficulty with. In terms of darker skin tones, I'm wondering if chalk would work - putting chalk on the back of the piece of paper and then tracing over the front with pen.
@mmedeuxchevaux10 ай бұрын
Does it matter what kind of paper you use with the iron on transfer pen?

I always lose my comments. I hope to look through my pictures and find a selfie selfie I’ll have to look through my pictures and find one that I like to do a selfie. If you’re interested if I could do a comparison of one with me with my red hair and my pure white here now. Lol
@sueparsons26102 жыл бұрын
Do you find you use 2-3 sizes of the needles for all your projects or do you tend to use all sizes?
@LivingFelt2 жыл бұрын
For 2D. I mostly use the 42T. And sometimes 40T. For 3D, I definitely use more sizes from coarse to fine. I am loving the 38 Star Spiral.
