I have been spending time with you everyday (really) learning the art of needle felting. I know I have not viewed all your tutorials so forgive me if you have already made the story I would love to hear. I would love to hear your thoughts and worries as a begining felt artist. I sure do appreciate starting each day with soft critters versus the other conversations in the world. Thanks for sharing and showing the sweet and lovely creations.

I watched this tutorial 3 times about a week ago. I should have watched it again directly before starting on my rabbit. This was my very first needle felting project and I'm discouraged. My suggestion is when you get to the feet. STOP. Watch it thru to the feet again to see how you think you'd like to make the feet because she jumps around a bit. Especially if you don't have the Zoolie tool because she shows an optional way to do the feet without the Zoolie (Zooly?) tool. I'm also having trouble with getting the core to not be lumpy. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's thin and thick even before I started to wind it to start the head and body.

I wonder if it could be done with something else, like cotton, or dog fur. I know people who use dog fur to make yarn and knit with.
@ruthannklos35553 жыл бұрын
You can make your own roving by using wire dog brushes on regular yarn of any kind. They have tutorials on how to do so. I made small photo prop blankets then brushed the yarn to make needle felted hearts stars clouds and one bigger heart l saw someone take a photo of the newborns toes around the heart.

that wooden tool is interesting, never seen a move like that. Does wrapping body parts make them come out kind of squishy? I like my figures to be firm but it doesn't look like the parts made on that tool dont get much shaping by the needle beyond being pinned into the posture you want.

Gee! I love your videos, and I'm learning so much, but as an old lady, the barking dog was so startling; about had a heart attack. Seems to be a trend in YT videos. I don't think anybody would have a crying baby in the background. Just sayin'. Unlike others, I do like the chit-chat & riddles, tho. I can't wait to order a kit, and start making my very first felted critter; I'm getting the sleeping mice too. These adorable little sleeping critters, will be perfect with a baby gift I'm making, as the extra special added touch. Thank you so much for being such great inspiration & instructors.

I'm an old lady also and have the opposite opinion...don't mind the sounds of animals or babies (real life) but find the riddles and puppet distracting from the tutorial.
@recoveringsoul7555 жыл бұрын
@@seapearltoo1 Real life (and plenty of videos) include the noises of cats, dogs barking, whining, growling; babies crying, phones ringing, children playing and running about, doorbells and so on.
