Instead of wool I brush out acrylic yarn with a pet brush and that works out pretty well for me. It's also much cheaper than buying wool

Acrylic yarn how to brush out ?
@lesliehyde5 жыл бұрын
Hopefully this will be helpful but I have found that the red heart acrylic yarn which, by no means is animal hair but if you cut off EQUAL sections of yarn, then comb with a fine tooth comb, you can then use it to needle felt with. Now granted, the most tedious part of this is the combing of the yarn but you get A LOT more fiber for your buck as opposed to natural animal hair.

The wool can be from any animal. You can even use animal fur, if you're brave and patient enough. However, the most commonly used wool is from sheep. It can be substituted with cat or dog fur...you just need a lot of it and it needs to be clean and you have to have a lot more patience because it takes a lot more time. The finer and softer the fiber, the more difficult it is to felt, but it can be felted.

You can buy acrylic roving for people with allergies to wool. It's also a fraction of the cost and is practically identical. It also comes in specialities versions like mohair and cashmere. Ive ust had some delivered, and highly recommend.

En español, cuáles son los materiales necesarios, cómo se llama la aguja y la lana, dónde se consigue? Me pueden recomendar alguna página que me oriente está técnica en español?
@ivxx78154 жыл бұрын

It's definitely wool. I work on my teachers sheep and goat farm with her and we process an dye the wool many different colors and the Suffolk wool looks alot like this, the blf wool is like really beautiful coily locks of hairs, and blf Suffolk mix have in between.

Could I use a sowing needle for this instead
@ichibanmegami4 жыл бұрын
I don't think so, as I thought that I could try the same thing. The felting needle is different. The spikes on the pointy end help to combine the wool
