I've been watching videos on this issue for the past hour, but yours has been the best by far. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain it! You presented it in a way that I understood easily. You have such a lovely energy, too. I would have loved to have grown up with a grandmother like you.

Shelby thank you so very very much. That makes my heart happy to know i have helped you to understand how and why threads might slip. I learned a long time to keep things simple and basic when explaining something. And to add the why to the explanation.. it makes more sense when understanding not only the how to do something. but why you are doing it that way. So thank you ever so much for your very kind words. They are very much appreciated

Thank you for solving one more 'stitching mystery' - now we know why the threads disappear and where they go! 😅

Best presentation I've ever seen on this technique! It was very helpful to see what it looks like when a thread slips, and you did a great job with the closeups, Karen. Thanks so much.

Thank you Karen. I always watch your videos. I have never done even weave because I’ve heard about this issue. But now someday I might just try it. Close up was super so could see exactly what you were talking about. You are the greatest teacher. I’m following your progress on “Fred”! He is such a beautiful stocking!!! Happy stitching.

You can do it!

Thanks for sharing. I knew that about linen but I didn’t think it applied to evenweave but of course it does. Magnification helps! No mystery now.

Thank you for this terrific explanation. I am working on one now that I was about to toss in the garbage as I was having so many slipped threads. I will pick it up again and pay attention to the which way the threads are running as I stitch.
