Bruce/Batman is technically the richest, Green Arrow and Aquaman are close behind solely because their income isn't as high, or in Aquaman's case, Atlantean currancy isn't a known currancy. Superman's wealth isn't in money, but is his collection of items from Earth, Krypton and alien planets, however he can easily make money when needed by forming diamonds from coal. Wonderwoman's wealth in DC isn't always brought up, but she's probably equivalent to a celebrity. enough to be famous, but not enough to rival GA, Aquaman or Batman. Out of the moments on this list, I think the friendly advice he gave to Superman regarding Superboy was the best. Superman was effectively horrified, ticked off, and possibly even disgusted when he first met Superboy, and started to push away an innocent boy who was not only trying to do good, but also idolized Superman, all because that boy was created with some of his DNA. If Batman didn't do anything, Superman would've continued pushing Superboy away, over and over again until he became disillusioned with Supes, get taken advantage of by the villains, and would've went full supervillain. Batman talking with Superman and planting that seed in his mind gave that little push to convince Superman to give Superboy a chance and help him out, give him that guiding hand, and introduce him to the people responsible for who Superman is today, and they both turned out better for it.

But it is nice to remember that Batman legitimately cares about his teammates and friends Deep down he’s a good guy, in fact, he’s a great guy
@TNuuv5 ай бұрын
I do remember seeing someone point out that in the comic, Batman's countermeasures were used against the Justice League by the enemy. He was rightfully called out for it because it was able to be stolen and he also used very deep interpersonal knowledge/conversations to make it, e.g., Green Lantern saying how he values sight a lot, and his countermeasure was to magically take it away. And there was a brief moment where batman felt shame for it. he trusts them but his paranoia got the better of him

To be clear, the League NEVER wanted Lobo as part of the team because that Czarnian rat bag is not Justice League material. When he came to the watch tower during Superman's wake, they all wanted him to leave, immediately. The only reason they had him tag along to fight the villains who escaped with Kalibak leading the charge was to give him a test run. But let's face it, they were most likely going to replace the Main Man as soon as someone more worthy of the spot he was filling in came along.

I'm not sure if this qualifies (since Robin is his sidekick) but my favourite is from the comics. Robin (Tim Drake) is miserable because his girlfriend, Ariana Dzerchenko, and her family are having financial problems and will have to move to another city. What does Batman do? He DOESN'T say "it's just a crush" or "he'll get over it" etc. He DOESN'T tell Tim to "focus on the mission." He buys the business and gives the Dzerchenkos a really good deal so that not only can they stay, they can now live in a nice neighbourhood. That moment really showed how caring Batman can be.

Than there was the time where The Flash was having a celebration in his home town and Batman brought another Justice League member who just thought the Flash was a joke till Batman showed him how the Flash really was a hero. Same with Booster Gold where they fought some time traveling beast, unfortunately Batman doesn't remember it. Speaking of time travel the time he went back in time with the Blue Beatle. Most of the time...Wonder Woman ends up with Superman because they're of very roughly equal power. But I always preferred the idea that she ends up with Batman, partly because she was totally right in JLU...she's basically completely safe from most forms of harm from anyone who'd use her to hurt Batman. The other part, is that it always felt more reasonable to me that Diana would pick not some superpowered munchkin...but rather the one guy (aside from Arrow) who is absolutely nothing but a plain-jane human...and STILL regularly goes toe-to-toe with near-literal gods...and at least holds his own if not outright fucking WINS...every time. I always felt that given her warrior culture background, and her implied sense of justice, Batman was always the most logical choice for her. He's a true hero...doing what he does not by dint of special powers and some perceived obligation to use them for good...but because he believes there's not enough genuine justice and charity in the world, and he's putting forth his own effort and skill to do everything possible to change that. Others become superheros because they can and/or because they believe they must. Batman CHOOSES to do what he does, and he works goddamned hard at it. He does feel some compulsion because of what happened in his childhood, but he still fully knows he's making a choice, not because he has to. It just seems to me that Diana would be more respectful of everything Bruce has had to do on his own to achieve what he's done. Yeah, he's rich, and that absolutely counts for a LOT of it...because he probably wouldn't have had the opportunities he's had, otherwise. But there are a lot of rich guys in that world, and our own, who don't even get within VIEW of being as awesome and accomplished as Batman. And I fully believe that WW is someone who'd recognize and appreciate that more than anyone else. Additionally...Batman is the reason I've gained the perspective on fear and pain that I've developed over the years. Fear and Pain are not diseases to be eradicated, or enemies to be conquered, or illusions to be ignored. Fear and Pain are more like overbearing friends who worry about our well-being far too much. They want us to be happy and healthy, but don't really understand how or why...so they freak out over every little thing that even COULD be harmful in any way. The way to deal with them isn't to conquer them, or deny them, or anything like that. We need to embrace them as friends, show them we acknowledge them and respect them, but then reassure and comfort them as we would anyone consumed by fear or pain. Fear and Pain aren't conscious. They're over-concerned friends, but more like a couple of really anxious dogs that can't bear to be without us. They need to be treated the same way. Embraced with care and calm. I learned that because of the nature and purpose of Batman, and how everyone else deals with him (when they successfully deal with him, anyway). While Flash is much more the humanitarian in the JL animated shows, Batman fully agrees with his perspective once he gets to know it. He doesn't simply want to punish criminals, he wants to help them improve their lives so they STOP being criminals. He wants peoples' quality of life to improve. He's just...not the best at getting that done at all times. He's a detective and a warrior...not a social worker. He's a paladin, not a saint. And the JL knows that. They do what they can (as they learn over time) to help him see past the paranoia and pessimism. They're there for him. And consequently, when it matters...he's there for them. Fear and Pain are the same way. Take care of them properly when they freak out...and they'll always have your back when you finally do really need them.
