I needed emotional support from my emotional support chicken this week. My cat Norman ate some of the yarn from the chicken ( my fault for not securing it when I went out) and ended up with a $3000 vet bill for a bowel obstruction. Norman is fine and after I punched the chicken in it's little knitted face I hugged it when I realized the pet insurance would cover 85%. Finding your podcast has been one of my favorite things.

Glad you two enjoyed your Vermont trip! You both look snazzy in your Vermont hoodies. ❤ I've never left the Midwest but I would love to head East some day and check out local shops. I was actually in totality for the eclipse. I went to "Total Eclipse of the Yarn", where a group of knitters and crocheters hung out at a local yarn shop (Rebel Purl) while we crafted & experienced the eclipse! Ray, that cable sweater looks sick! I can't wait to see your progress. You better cast that on soon! Although it looks like you have your hands full with that lovely colorwork sweater and Dad's sweater. 😊 Also I'm glad you satisfied your brioche craving. The hat colors are lovely and a living testament to Kevin's dyeing skills. Kevin congratulations on your PJ bottoms! 🎉 You should have modeled them! 😮🩰 Your JellyRoll blanket is looking 🔥🔥🔥. It's cool that you have memories attached to the colors. & Omg I laughed so hard at your neglect toward Ray on his felted edging. 😂 You two are hilarious. I checked out your online store yesterday and I gotta say I love the selection! I had to nab all of the Satin Eggplant. ❤ I'm obsessed with your Ghost colors & InkBlot but I decided to be a good girl and wait to save up more. 🤑 I'm so excited!

Always enjoy catching up with you all! Kevin, I just returned from a trip to Ireland and your unnamed gray colorway immediately made me think of medieval knights armor. Ray, for your Shaun’s Gambier you might take a look at the Jacquard ladder back technique for thr long floats. I used it last year on my Islington Jumper and found it really easy once I actually tried it. That would allow you to still knit in the round. Several tutorials- I kept mine all knit stitches and just started and ended as needed based on the pattern. It’s now my preference for color work! Have a good fortnight! Cher🤣

You can use your new Jammy pants as your pattern by flattening them out to check the cutting lines because the pattern is so simple. If you were making a more fitted garment it is different. There is pattern fabric for use when cutting patterns for garments that was you don't damage your original pattern. you just trace your size and then cut from that resulting pattern. The pattern fabric is much more desireable for reusing patterns.

Hello from Louisville KY. I am so indecisive about what to knit next. I keep thinking a cardigan would be what I would wear the most, but can’t settle on a pattern.

Ah Chester, Vermont is indeed a very special place as it’s home to my favorite knitting needles, DyakCraft (family business of Tom and Linda Diak).

Ray, I think you want to KNIT the column between the body and the steek so it will fold to the back. A purl column wants to fold to the front. Oh! And you could machine felt your swatch. It would make a great mat or trivet.
