You didn't show it so I'll ask. The noisy fan on the inside you replaced, does it have a standard 3 or 4 pin connector like PC fans used?
@IvanRossS2 ай бұрын
@@RevolverOcelot79 yes !!! But it's 2 pin fan just + & - . You can buy 3-pin fan. The third pan only made to read speed. You can simply cut it out and only use two wires.. on my channel you can find a short video of how I'm replacing a fan

@@IvanRossS That's fantastic news. One last thing. I know the material around individually wrapped cigars is cellophane and perfectly fine for storing cigars but if I want to store a whole box, what is the material it's wrapped with? Is it cellophane as well or is it actually plastic wrapped?

@@RevolverOcelot79 boxes sealed and wrap usually in cellophane. But I have some boxes that are wrapped in regular plastic. I just simply put a couple of holes in them if I do not want to unseal the box and let it sit in the humidor.

Do you think there's a way to digitally calibrate those cheap mini hygrometer it comes with? I have taken it apart and put it back together, there was some white residue on the sensor I cleaned with alchol and that brought it 2% closer to mark but it's still 6% off.

The water/condensation won’t cause mold?
@IvanRossS10 ай бұрын
No it will not because your condensation do not have no minerals. So it will be very low on bacteria to grow. That's why it's very important to clean your humidor and sanitize it with high percentage of alcohol. I'm sorry for late response somehow I did not see your message...

Which Boveda Sizes are you using? I have 3 320g 69%, I just receive mine and im having some issues stabilizing the humidity, heard plugging the hole and a fan might help. Also the back of mine is different, the filter is not expose and its just a smooth metal plate
@nathanhawee53739 ай бұрын
I'm having some of the same issue I think, I'm using 69% and am only getting 64/65% on a good day. When it's cold it's lower. So I'm wondering if you tried putting something in the drain hole and if it helped? And wanted to ask if there is a way to check the door seal or a way to help it seal better? I'm afraid that's my problem.
@lurrdluffy9 ай бұрын
@@nathanhawee5373 are you only using the hydrometer it came with? The issue might just be air flow, I gave up on the bóvedas because there was 0 airflow so the humidity would drop to 63-64% wether I would tape the drain hole or not, videos here recommend using a fan to help with that, but they might have changed the size of the drain holes recently since I bought two fans and the power cable of neither one fit through it. Eventually I bought an oasis, and two new hydrometer from goove, and it’s working much better, I do get some variation in RH, and a different of 2% between the top shelf and the bottom shelf. Also changed in temps outside can influence the unit. I guess only time will tell if it’s working how I need it to, it’s still too soon
@lurrdluffy9 ай бұрын
@@nathanhawee5373 about the door seal, no idea, I was wondering the same, I don’t think I have an issue with mine since it holds the RH pretty well unless there’s specific wether changes

So are you saying if i plug mine in, the fan wont pull humidity out??? Then does the cool air drop it then? I really need to know having problems and about ready to lose sticks
@IvanRossS10 ай бұрын
Okay first of all stop freaking out. You will not lose your sticks :) for you to lose your sticks your humidity level inside of cigars have to be maintained low for a very long time. When you cool air, humidity naturally will drop it's just physics. I keep my humidor at 68f. Just set your temp to 68° put some bovida packs in there and tray with distilled water on the bottom. Keep an eye on your humidity, it will take a couple of days also I will highly recommend you to test your hydrometer. Do not trust a hydrometer that comes with it, it's horrible Chinese crap. My was off by minutes 4-5%. What hydrometer do you use ? Did you perform salt test on it ? To verify that your hydrometer is accurate
@IvanRossS10 ай бұрын
In next 2 to 3 days there is a possibility your humidity can reach to 72% . It's ok. Just keep it that way for another 2-3 days. After that just remove your tray with distilled water and eventually it will normalize amd drop to 68% 69 % but keep your bovida packs in there. I use x3 69% packs.
@nathanhawee537310 ай бұрын

So I’ve solved my humidity issue but now I’m having issues with condensation. Is it normal for it to have condensation on the heatsink on the inside? It sometimes drips
@IvanRossS7 ай бұрын
Yes of course because of a relative temperature. The more temperature difference between inside of your house and inside of your humidor the more humidity in the water will be collecting. This is why there is a drain hole there

It's supposed to run All the time on very low speed.. as soon as you open it it will analyze the temperature lost and it will crank the speed

If you had purchased the unit the review would have been different. This is not to knock you. Just giving pointers and stressing what we would like to see. Maybe we can have a stick and coffee together someday.
