I don't have a way to record my actual IEM mix at this time so I record direct via USB into my Surface Pro while going direct to FOH out the XLRs. The good thing about this is that when I mix my recording into the downloaded service, I'm getting my tone before FOH can fix it. This is revealing that I have too much in the 200Hz range, making it sound boomy with drive and muddy when clean. I've been testing increasing the low-cut shelf on the IR, in this case it's up to around 110Hz, but that hasn't fixed it. I ran it through a frequency spectrum and see that it is in the 200-250Hz range.
I'm now going to try running that shelf at 200 and see how it sounds.
The #headrush pedalboard modeling a #voxac30. I'm playing my #epiphone #noelgallagher Riviera. I really like the AC30 BLUE 2x12 - XR IR PACK from @Tone_Factor. This one is the single 545 mic, position 1. I use @BogStreet picks, the Battle Axe medium textured. I'm playing at my home church @restorationwoodforest.
