The key difference is that marsupial placenta is more like a yoke sac & the marsupial baby is attached to it for an extremely short period of time compared to a placental mammal . A very small & underdeveloped offspring is then born .Babies are blind at birth , and have no ears & hardly any back legs .they ' ve strong stumpy front legs, with the help of these two legs the young baby crawls from mother's birth channel into the pouch where it attaches to one of her teats and remain there for several months slowly growing into a viable young animal .Their young ones are born relatively underdeveloped these young animal lactate for a long time compared to palcental animals.........I hope this 'll be helpful
