Guys I have a question: At the beginning of the anime, cid made up the whole diablos cult thing to alpha, and he thought they were just playing along to his game. So when did he figure out that the cult was real and they weren't just playing along or does he still think its a game?

U honestly believe that he thinks of it as a real world setting ?He knows that it's a world that can be as real as it gets,but in his perspective,he's just playing along in the world full of mobs,named ones and other important characters. Cid just wants to use his Eminence persona to the fullest to accomplish everything that he dreamt of doing before he got reincarnated. He didn't even know that the Shadow Garden had a huge base like that until recently.
