Valorant 101: 1. Valorant is a tactical fps game with abilities made by Riot Games the creator of League of Legends which was the basis for Arcane hence why they look the same. For the Gameplay, think the shooting of Counter Strike but with the abilities of Overwatch. 2. Valorant takes place in two worlds called Alpha Earth and Omega Earth. They are parallel worlds to each other but with noticeable differences. 3. With two Earths there's two teams of Agents belonging to the Valorant Organization of each Earth. Alpha has "Valorant Protocol" while Omega has "Valorant Legion." 4. Agents can be divided into two categories. Radiants are those with supernatural abilities while the rest are normal humans who uses technology as their ability. 5. These superpowers came from a substance called Radianite, specifically exposure to it. Radianite is a vital energy source utilized heavily by each earth. There's also an organization that monopolizes it for each earth called "Kingdom Corporation" for Alpha and "Kingdom Industries" for Omega. 6. Radianite is so precious that Omega Earth started sending Agents to steal radianite from Alpha Earth. Also there's difference between the radianite of each earth too. Green for Alpha, Orange for Omega. 7. Valorant has an esports scene called VCT or Valorant Champions Tour. There's two tiers. Tier 1 where the selected franchised orgs, originally 10 from 4 Regions now at 12, fight for the trophy. Tier 2 are where the other orgs not franchised can fight to join the franchised orgs in Tier 1 hence why tier 1 grew from 10 to 12 for each of the 4 Regions. 8. The 4 Regions are the Americas, EMEA(Europe/Middle East/Africa), Pacific, China. 9. There's also an in game tournament client called Premier that allows it's winners to join Tier 2 as actual professional players. So there's actually a chance that a group of friends can come from Premier to Tier 2 then to Tier 1. As they enter Tier 2, they are given by Riot an org or even approached by orgs to sign them up. You can effectively become a normal player into a paid esports pro provided you are actually good. If you want to see gameplays, you can watch the highlights from the recent Valorant Champions 2024. If you want to know more about how the game is played, I recommend watching analysis by Teets or Airen. They help break down the strategies as well as the decision making done by these pro teams.

"Reminds me of Arcane, kinda" Lol yeah that's what I call "The Riot Games" animation style; it's 2D and 3D, along with painterly visuals. Fortiche is the animation company that made Arcane while most of the Valorant episode cinematics were made by Blur Studio which is known for making realistic CGI animations but as you can see, they did the Riot Games animation style justice.

The reason it looks like Arcane is because Riot Games who made Valorant is the same company that made Arcane/LoL

Pretty much all the valorant cinematics are made by Fortiche, the studio that did Arcane and a lot of Riot Games' cinematics (including the first KDA song). Their signature style is the painterly aesthetic on 3d objects mixed with 2d visual effects, their style is so unique and Riot really capitalized on that.

@@perxivul That's not true though. Fortiche have nothing to do with Valorant, all the Valorant cinematics or agent trailers are done in-house at Riot, only the Champions music videos are out sourced.

Also I'm kinda late but here is what every character does, they're separated into two types, Radiants (superpowered) and Humans (normal) Radiants Jett (Female, Korean) - Controls wind in different ways such as moving around, controlling objects and creating clouds Phoenix (Male, British) - Controls fire and is able to revive himself with fire Reyna (Female, Mexican) - Creates 'soul orbs' after killing someone. These orbs let her heal herself or turn invisible. Also can create a eye that blinds anyone staring at it Yoru (Male, Japanese) - Can teleport, create clones of himself and turn invisible (also can create flashbangs that bounce off the wall) Neon (Female, Filipino) - Controls electricity, can use electricity as either a weapon or a tool to move faster Iso (Male, Chinese) - Can create a shield, a bulletproof wall, make enemies vulnerable and create a separate dimension for a 1v1 Omen (Male, Ghost) - Controls shadows and darkness, is able to teleport, create smokes of pure shadow and blind opponents with darkness Astra (Female, Ghanaian) - A literal goddess, controls constellations by placing them around to create smokes, stuns or pulls Clove (Androgynous, Scottish) - Immortal, heals after a kill as well as becomes faster and can decay enemy health Skye (Female, Australian) - Controls nature, able to summon animals with certain statues such as wolves and birds, heals teammates and finds enemies Fade (Female, Turkish) - Controls fear and nightmares, summons monsters and entities to track down and hunt enemies Sage (Female, Chinese) - Heals and revives teammates, creates walls/barriers, can slow enemies Vyse (Female, Radivore basically an animal) - Controls plants/metal, blinds enemies with roses, hurts enemies with metallic vines and disables enemy guns Humans Raze (Female, Brazillian) - Specializes in explosives Brimstone (Male, American) - Is basically the leader of VALORANT Viper (Female, American) - Specializes in poisons and toxins, is immune to her own poisons Harbor (Male, Indian) - Has an artifact that allows him to control water Sova (Male, Russian) - Archer who is an expert in scouting and hunting Breach (Male, Swedish) - Amputee who lost both his arms, now has arms that allows him to create earthquakes KAY/O ( Male, Robot) - Robot from another dimension who deals with Radiants, suppresses Radiant abilities Gekko (Male, American) - Has Radivore pets, these pets are superpowered and intelligent like the Radiants Cypher (Male, Moroccan) - Expert in hacking and defensive technology such as tripwires and cameras Killjoy (Female, German) - Genius in technology, invented many of the VALORANT agents tech Chamber (Male, French) - Literal sniper, can summon his own guns and can teleport using his tech Deadlock (Female, Norwegian) - Expert in hunting and tracking animals

Valorant is a 5v5 arena fighting with split rounds, you either play as defender where you try to stop attackers from planting the bomb, you also have special abilities depending on the agent your playing 3:41

I just searched yesterday if there are any new reaction videos about the Valorant cinematics and now one of my favorite reaction youtubers reacted to it. I‘ve been playing Valorant since a few days after it came out and it‘s still one of my favorite games. You should check out the game as well. It‘s difficult to get used to it as a complete beginner because theres so much to learn about but once you‘ve done that, it‘s really fun.

the person looking same like Pheonix is not a shape shifter rather there are opponents in this game and ppl can select sam characters. there a two teams and each team can have one of the same characters which the other team has, so it's shown that way
