Anubhav Sinha, a movie maker whose upcoming Ayushmann Khurrana starter movie Article 15 is creating a lot of buzz. Last year he gave a critically acclaimed movie Tapsee Pannu and Rishi Kapoor starter movie ‘Mulk’ which was was also a commercial success. His movie ‘Mulk’ won the best film award as Star Screen Awards. So here is the maker of Ra one, Tum Bin, Dus shared his journey so far on The Slow Interview with Neelesh Misra.
Born in Allahabad from majorly bought up in Banaras. He studied engineering in Banaras and started his career as an engineer. He left his job to become a filmmaker. He moved to Mumbai. He started his journey from a television series ‘Sea Hawks’. Then he started making music videos. His first music video was ‘Tu’ with Sonu Nigam. He created his own space in music video industry. His first movie was ‘Tum Bin’. It was a huge hit then. The music of Tum Bin was hit all over the country.
He said that when he thought to become a filmmaker and he was told that he could never become a director and rest is history. The experiments he did with his film choices are worth noticing as all the movies he made are of different genre. Movies like Dus, Ra one, Tum Bin, Mulk and now Article 15 are totally different themes.
Inthis interview he shared his experiences with the different Bollywood personalities like Shahrukh Khan, Gulzar, Vishal Dadlani, Sonu Nigam. How he learned from ups and downs of his life.

Personally I still feel RaOne was the pioneering film which led people to experiment extensively with the kind of VFX you used at that point of time, it was certainly a movie which was a bit ahead of its time maybe that's why people don't like it and similarly I also believe the fact that Anubhav ji said - Shahrukh ko Fail hota hua dil se dekhna chahte the log.. but honestly, You're a Gem of a Director sir..❤️.. when I first watched the trailer of Mulk I was in a state of mind ki Mujhe ye film abhi dekhni hai, iss waqt, abhi ke abhi.. I think that pretty much sums up what your work means to me 🙏🏼

Neelesh ji, I started watching your videos during lockdown phase ….and got hooked on to them since then. Today this video came up while I was driving to work after dropping my son at school…..life been hard lately…..I had reached a stage where nothing was making me happy ….there was a constant phase of ….just……dissosiation from most the things in life….but after watching this ….as always…..I feel so positive and calm….why I don’t know….not sure if it’s purely from the content of the videos or may be from the vibe that emits form these shows ….possible due to the place where it’s recorded but there’s something that is so positive and detoxing about your slow interviews ….I would love to meet you in person someday …..I live in Melbourne for the past 15 years and miss my village (near shimla)the most….perhaps It could be the village feel…i don’t know….god bless u n you family sir.
