Jazakallah Bhai Your car easily goes up to Keran because there is a good asphalt road up to Keran. But after Dowarian, as you go further, the road deteriorates, especially until Kel, and about 10 kilometers before Kel, there's only an issue with the water crossing for cars.

This time I will be going on a brand new BRV and want to keep the vehicle for the long term. Would you recommend parking my vehicle in Keran or Kel? Are both parking places safe? I will be covering Kel/Arang Kel and Taobat and then will start my journey back to Karachi.

@@AbdulRehmanKahn I suggest you park your car in Sharda, as your car can reach there. From there, you can hire a jeep to go to Kel and visit Arang Kel. After returning from Arang Kel, hire a jeep again to visit Taobat. On your way back, you can take the jeep from Kel to Sharda. This is a better option. And if you're taking your car to Kel, watch this video again to get an idea of where you need to be cautious with your car. The rest of the journey will be fine. Just be extra cautious while driving for the last 10 kilometers before Kel. And the parking places are safe; no one will bother your car.

The Alto can make it to Kel, but the water crossing shown in the video, 10 kilometers before Kel, often causes issues. However, it's not a major problem, and people usually manage to take their cars all the way to Kel.

Excellent comparison with Murree. Same experience - I have found the people in Kel/Arang Kel to be nagging almost to the level of extortion, similarly the tent and khachar valas at Ratti Gali were scammy. In all, my experience with Kashmiri people in these areas was very disappointing. This is a far cry from the hospitality and warmth one experiences in GB, KPK, and even other areas of Kashmir (Pir Chanasi, Toli Peer etc.). This is why Neelum Valley is off my travel list until the people here come to their senses and stop looking at tourists as walking, talking ATM cards.

Jazakallah Ma'am And Yes, it is possible. Try to visit there by August because after September, the greenery disappears and the weather becomes dry. Therefore, there is no point in visiting Taobut after that.

Good information brother.🙌 From the looks of it the road condition is pretty okay in Kashmir now. Brother can you guide with regards to road condition from Naran to Leepa valley and total time required . From the maps i can see that i have to pass through Garhi habibullah and Muzaffarabad to leepa valley but i really don't know about the road condition on that side. Furthermore is the road from leepa to ganga choti in okay condition or its a mix of rough patch, kindly guide me about the total time from leepa to ganga choti as well.

There's just one patch near Lohar Gali that needs attention. Since I haven't been to Leepa Valley, I don't have any idea about its condition.

In Kel, generally, there are hotels available that offer clean and tidy rooms with amenities like hot water in the morning for around 4 people at a cost of 5 to 6k. These hotels are not high-end but provide decent accommodation. However, the situation is different in Arangkel, where the pricing depends on the rush. During peak times, a room that costs 5k can go up to 20k, but when there's no rush, a 20k room can be available for 5k. I haven't stayed there before, so I don't have that experience, but if you're planning to go, don't expect too much because Arangkel isn't as it used to be two years ago.
