Boring, inane analysis. Mostly what Neerja does is recounting events that we have heard about umpteen times. Whatever little analysis she manages to do is shallow and momentary rather than in-depth. For instance, how and why Priyanka would be positioned against Modi. Would Modi be still there in the field against a much younger Gandhi lady. Less said about the immature anchor the better. She’s asking why opposition lost in Maharashtra. A bit too late to ask and know.

Minorities are treated much better in India than in Bangladesh or Pakistan. India has far more pressing issues than Muslims’ ego problems.

Modi never advocated hate against Muslims, but Muslims cannot receive reservations in India as that is akin to promoting conversions to Islam. He was right to be angry that Rahul Gandhi wants to give reservations to Muslims. What else does jitni aabadi utna haq mean when it is addressed to a crowd of Muslims? Do western countries, the birthplace of secularism, have reservations based on religion? Muslim reservation is a discriminatory and Islamist policy, which threatens other religions, but you don't think that is evil.
