the main issue with this one is that all of the sounds sort of blend together. Melody 2 is pretty good though

Honestly, I can get with Lo-fi, but lo-fi makes me sleepy when drawing I got to have like Breakbeat , rap or new age for me to work with, even tho I have listen to many artist that does down tempo and trip hop that leads to Lo-fi like the "Godfather" of lo-fi music Nujabes R.I.P, The Prunes and Massive Attack etc. That do those types of beats maybe its just lo-fi takes a bit of time to get with me IDK.

i think the thing is is that the beginning beats have a hard time being different from mod to mod, if they're all the same kind of basic it can kinda get repetitive? there's a lotta ways you could set up a base beat

For the vibe this mod is trying to sell, I think it did it PERFECTLY! But, is it fit for an Incredibox mod, a game ment to make you remember the songs it provides? Unfortunately no. See, the issue is that this mod’s music is incredibly muted and slow, it’s great for background music in a game where you’re focused on other visuals, but for Incredibox it just doesn’t work. Nothing about this is bad, the visuals, animations, and sounds are all well made! It just suffers from not fitting into the environment of the game at all.

I think Outage is more of the Style than Music mod, as the character designs are pretty good in the mod. The only problem with Style than Music mods is that Incredibox is a damn music game, thats why people play it. So if it sounds bad then no one will like it. imo it sounds like really good old video game music, like an 8/16-bit vibe. when i hear this, i imagine a retro warm cottage in the middle of an autumn forest, with orange leaves and acorns falling off the trees. and though, the voices could use a LOT of work, this sounds really good to me. but, everyone has their opinions! ^_^

In my opinion, it’s not that bad. The fact that it’s not really loud, sounds bit-crushed, and doesn’t really got anything going on while not sounding bad really makes me think the theme is background music. All the highly-praised mods are all mods where the music itself is the pizazz. This, on the other hand, sounds like it’s not supposed to be really acknowledged itself and instead sounds like something you’d hear as background music as someone is talking about something. It itself sounds very boring and not very interesting, but sounds like it would be perfect background music to have.

it honestly feels like they just picked a bunch of loops without really considering how they fit together in a melody and the ones that do feel like they do more out of coincidence that conscious choice. and the designs themselves are another thing, they're nice looking and the animation is good but they also feel picked at random. there's no implied theme or through-line for them. there doesn't necessarily HAVE to be but combined with the slap dash nature of the samples this mod just doesn't feel like there was much thought behind it other than throwing a bunch of conflicting ideas at it.

They’ll either just put a bunch of geometry and shapes on the characters as “designs”, make up some random robot design under the excuse that the theme is futuristic, or they’ll cheat and just have a guitar or a piano as one of the Polos. It’s what happens when you make something easily accessible to most likely kids who don’t know what they’re doing.
