Then why not to allow foreign nationals to come and participate in the councelling process. We are all residents of this planet. This is some utter nonsense from supreme court. State quota is important to minimise interstate differences. How do you think a guy from Delhi NCR and a guy from rural bihar enjoy the same level facilities !! Additionally we are forgetting healthcare is a state matter where learning and interacting in local language is very important. I hope government won't entertain this nonsense.

We may all be residents of India, but we all speak different languages, follow different cultures. In a strict culturally inclined country like India, this will bring about so many issues. North Indians don’t follow the same cultures as South Indians. Even amongst the South Indian states there are so many cultural differences

On the rounds of counselling nothing has been mentioned but the state quota will be no more.

Ma’am what about state quota we get due to studying under our state university? Like WBUHS. Will there be no 50 percent state quota?
