NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Latest Updates:
The Supreme Court announced on Thursday that the pleas related to the controversy-ridden NEET-UG 2024 medical entrance exam will be heard on July 18. A bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud noted that the Center and the National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the exam, have submitted their affidavits in accordance with the apex court's July 8 order.
NEET UG 2024 hearing live updates: Why Supreme Court postponed the matter?
The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing for July 18 a batch of petitions alleging paper leakage and malpractices in the NEET-UG 2024 exam, held on May 5.
A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra adjourned the hearing for next Thursday to enable the petitioners to file their responses to the affidavits filed by the Center and the National Testing Agency (NTA) yesterday.
It noted in the order that some of the parties in the case haven't received the affidavits filed by the Center and NTA and they need to prepare their responses before arguments.
MBBS Admission Process
AIQ Seats Counselling: The MCC conducts four rounds of counselling for 15% AIQ MBBS/BDS seats. After the second round gets over, the remaining seats (if any) are transferred back to the states..
• Deemed/Central Universities Counselling: The DGHS conducts two rounds of counselling for Deemed and Central Universities, followed by a mop-up round.
• State Quota Counselling: The respective state counselling authorities conduct counselling for 85% state quota seats in their states. These seats are generally reserved for candidates holding domicile of the states. The counselling for state quota seats is conducted in two to three rounds, followed by a Mop-Up round.
All the Odisha NEET Qualified candidates who have participate in counseling procedure for MBBS/BDS admission must register in due time in the website of OJEE i.e. www.ojee.nic. Without registration, the candidate cannot proceed to next step of online application. After logging-in to the site, the candidate has to fill up the online application form, make online payment of registration fee and upload required documents for online verification.
MBBS Admission 2024:
MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. It is a five-year six-month undergraduate medical degree program. The course covers both surgical procedures and the recommendation of medications following a disease diagnosis. Admission to the MBBS program is determined by the NEET exam. There are three types of Counseling Authority for MBBS and BDS Admission in India. Students who want to take admission in MBBS and BDS can register for these three counseling. Admission in MBBS and BDS by these three counseling authorities will be on NEET score but for counseling registration will have to be done separately. Sir when will counciling start?? The supreme court hearing dates are only increasing day by day like first 8 then 11 and now 18 July seriously!!? When we students will do our admission and all and when will we study for mbbs if this continues then 2025 will also come..Then it's better to take drop rather than waiting like this
