Being a neet pg aspirant i completely get your point. I have done my mbbs from kerala now ready to leave kerala for my pg(eventhough i have a rank within 5k which is a descent rank.There were 2 lakh+ doctors appeared for neet pg) coz i don't get any clinical seats here in kerala.Your situation will be worse if you are a UR candidate you have to get a rank below 1.5k to get some clinical seats( medical branch). JR 1 will be the grassroot level worker in a department and now Imagine what will happen if you are not so fluent in English / Hindi 🥺. If you study ug in some prestigious institute in North you will have to learn Hindi and you will be fluent in hindi once you step out of that institution. And one more advantage is that you can participate in that state 'state councelling ' eg. If you are a keralite studied in kerala you can only apply for kerala quota. But if you are a keralite studied in say UP you can participate in both states state councelling. South has a really toxic work environment ( internship&residency) which is extremely glorified by most of the medicos. It's a lie . Don't fall for them. Internal reservations available in AIIMS,jipmer, PGI Chandigarh,nimhans Mamc,vmmc,lady hadringe, RML, AMU, BHU,KGU etc. They will give you around 1lakh per month as stipend,you have to pay around 16k per year as fee. But for kerala you will get 55k as stipend and pay 78k as fee. PS: these are my views it may vary from person to person. If you are into surgical branches you wil get surgery,obg,ortho etc with a rank of AIR 10k in kerala.These departments are toxic everywhere in India Special mention: Calicut ortho& surgery 👎
