Astigmatic patients are often not comfortable with astigmatism correction because the image becomes a bit distorted...some part of the inage seems at a higher/lower level than the rest ... That was the reason for non compliance not some cosmetic reason.. ICL is not a permanent procedure, but it's no joke either ..... What if from 15 to 18 years her myopia/astigmatism progresses ?? You gonna take out the lens and put in another one ?? Answer is clear cut : nearest alternate spherical correction

Q1 was about astigmatism. Only rigid contact lens can be used in astigmatism and not regular contact lens due to altered curvature of cornea. But rigid contact lens was not in option, only contact lens was written. Femto Lasik is the latest alternative to contact lens as it reshapes the cornea to treat Myopic astigmatism.
