+Sindre Skjelbostad well Hollywood made a BIG mistake in my humble opinion (at least regarding the title song). Not taking anything away from Celine however Sissel is in a very lonely class... she's the only one in it. she makes you want to do only very good things for those that touch you.
@ammarfalih19048 жыл бұрын
I didn't know Celine before Titanic, Now she is so famous in the world just for singing Titanic, I don't agree with you Rofi uddin . Sissel might not be perfect for Celine's type of songs, but she is the one who is tooo perfect for the Titanic.
@ammarfalih19048 жыл бұрын
From the first day I heard Celine in the Titanic, I felt there was something missing, I used to hear Dido and felt she was the one whom should sing it, but No, after hearing Sissel she was something extraordinary and shocked when I knew she was the voice behind the beautiful Humming of the Titanic. I tried for years to figure how the name was behind the gorgeous, crystal clear singing voice in Titanic, and I'm so glad I finally found her. She deserved to have her name more prominently shared like Celine's during the release of the film. Now, I'm just trying to find the name of the singer in James Cameron's "Avatar" who sings along with the orchestra during Tsu'tey's death and the shutting down of Grace's lab... I can't find her name anywhere, and I'd really like to know!!

Sissel may be Norway's greatest treasure. The purity and clarity of her vocal tones is amazing. Her musicality and passion is stunning. Celine Dion only sang the màin song «My heart will go on». Sissel sang everything else in the movie….the suite, hymn etc (the score through the whole movie). Sissel was very close to singing the title song «My heart will go on». James Horner said the following: "When I finished Titanic, I had to decide on Celine Dion or Sissel. Sissel I was very close with, while Celine had known me since she was 18, and for which I had already written three movie songs. But that was before Celine became known and the filmmakers and marketers had not done what they should have done for Celine and the songs. So I felt I owed her a Titanic chance, but I could have used Sissel there. " Sissel would’ve been big if she got to sing that song, but Sissel has later said she was glad she didnt get it, cause she wasnt willing to give up her life and move to America, She had a small kid then... and she got to sing the score through the whole movie and was happy with that.

Sissel is one of the best cross over sopranos in the world. Sissel has said: James Horner heard my record "Innerst i sjelen», where he particularly liked "Eg Veit I Himmelrik Ei Borg" and then he said; "This is my voice for Titanic,". Sissel was very close to singing the main movie song «My heart will go on». James Horner said the following: "When I finished Titanic, I had to decide on Celine Dion or Sissel. Sissel I was very close with, while Celine had known me since she was 18, and for which I had already written three movie songs.
