Thank you for doing this! It really helped me with the Negative Lab Pro Workflow. Awesomeness!

Thank you. That's what I was looking for. I hate plastic photos without soul. NLP seems to do good job

I do prefer NLP over Epson Scan as well but I disagree with your „vintage look“ interpretation. I think these green tones in the Epson Scan look much more vintage. Your first picture is a good example: For my taste the NLP version is very heavy on the red side so I would at least edit some green to the shadows to bring it back to a more neutral look. In contrast the Epson Scan pictures looks actually pretty vintage but unfortunately also kind of muddy. But nevertheless I find NLP conversions much cleaner - it just has a better color separation and gives me always a better starting point than Epson Scan.

I completely agree with you. I do love how the Epson scans look. Sometimes they look sharper. Plus the workflow is awesome and quicker as well. But NLP just had this great look to it. So I’m 50/50. Thank you for your insight! Please feel free to subscribe if you like my stuff and want to see more!

It says to not white balance in LR for Tiffs on those instructions in the Convert Negative screen. Why did you choose to do it this way just wondering?

Haha I didn’t know if I was missing something! I think this was a strategy in the old versions of NLP from the other tutorials I’ve watched. But wasn’t sure. Nice video though!

So I did a little experiment! And to be honest with you I like it when I do use the white balance. It looks much better in my mind.

I was wondering if you could review on custom camera collection website. I’m curious if it is real, and I trust your opinion.

Hi, thanks for the great information, question: if I crop out the borders before NLP cooks the image, how do I reintroduce the border again, I mean the whole point of scanning with border is to show the border later right? Am I missing a step, or will NLP colours not work well with borders? Thanks in advance
