Right on the dot!! So much of how I felt, but couldn't put it in better words than he did!! Thanks for standing up for his faith, whether you believe in that faith or not! Go Tebow, and God bless you!

Amen... Tebow is a wonderful individual, and I'm tired of seeing him get ridiculed for being a Christian, and at that a DEVOUT Christian... God Bless him for being the kind of person he is... we need more Tim Tebows and less Michael Vicks and O.J. Simpsons in the world, and we'd all be better off...

I agree. Ridiculing someone's religious practices is bullying.

I was joking around with my friends and did the Tebow pose over Thanksgiving. I wasn't mocking him, and I don't believe most of the people "Tebowing" now are mocking him (aside from the Detroit players). It's more of a gesture of reverence. I believe that when the crucial situation in a football game (or perhaps in life) occurs Tim Tebow tends to rise to the occasion. I admire that.

There's a reason why his teammates love him. The Media just twists things to what they want you see.

Actually I am a religious person, and I tebow all the time. I am a huge fan of Tim Tebow and when I Tebow I do it because I think it is a way of me showing I support him what he is doing. Sure there are some people who Tebow to make fun of him, but in reality the majority of people who Teobw do it because I think they respect the guy

I just want to know when Tim Tebow became higher than the religion he represents. The media needs to stop glorifying Tim Tebow so much. I feel bad for him because he is just out there trying to be the best he can and just be himself, but the media is so fixated on Tim Tebow for some strange reason that he can even pray to himself ON THE SIDELINES without people blowing it WAY out of proportion.

Its actualy awful how religious people are claiming victim. Pray, Kneel, Tebow, or whatever gets you closer to your spirituality. Why do others approval matter so? Emptiness I guess, from those who should be so free ????
@JoshWocka13 жыл бұрын
@TigerSmuggles - He also said to "Pray without ceasing." The real question is does Tim pray in privacy. If not then he is living by the example you gave from Matthew. As a Christian, I pray that he only uses this attention to glorify God and not himself.

Taking a shot at religion is inexcusable? Why? I have the right to mock anyone for their beliefs, especially when they're nonsensical. "Tebow is entitled to believe in, and pray to, whatever higher power he wishes," and I'm entitled to call him a moron for doing so.

I see nothing wrong with making fun of Tebows cult. If I claimed I had a sky daddy i'm sure others would make fun of me too. Well at least those who aren't brainwashed and believe in talking snakes.

Tea-bowing... is that when you put a bow on the head of the guy who just go tea-bagged?
@MyCubs1113 жыл бұрын
@jedens1013 I believe he does. I don't know him personally but you have to give it to the guy. He doesn't use it to gain anything. He only glorifies God. Never himself. I see where your coming from though but I believe he's the real deal!

this guy is way off minus the part about the detroit player. Of course, maybe I'm the one being dense, but I don't think that the majority of people "tebow" to mock him. I certainly don't. I do it cause I love Tim Tebow and want to be like him. "Tebowing" has become a symbol of Tim Tebow, and people show their support of him by doing it. He shouldn't view it as mocking, and he doesn't. So why do you, Drew?
@DWelker2613 жыл бұрын
Mocking anyone for their religious beliefs, no matter what faith, is stupid. Yeah, so it's the fashion to mock Christianity cuz it's the most widespread one. Big freaking deal. If Tebow were Muslim and "Tebowing" mocked praying toward Mecca after every big play, the NFL would be suspending players left and right and issuing apologies like crazy in the name of religious tolerance. It's crazy how people just can't handle the thought of Christians having skills in inherently nonreligious things.

There are MANY, MANY athletes who are models of Christian character and use their belief in God in order to play with purpose and train with motivation. I respect Tebow, but this idea that "so many athletes who are terrible people" and so "tebow is refreshing because he is moral" is obviously coming from people who have never been part of a competitive sports team, especially football. Just saying.

I wish Drew would get fired from 9news.... not just because of this video but he is by far the worst sports newscaster I have ever watched. I lived in Colorado for years and now I'm in Montana and the sports guy here is much better than Soicher was.

I would love to know how someone praying is actually offensive. Is the thought process "oh man, that guy believes in god, this is just ruining my day"? Who cares? The absence of people praying isn't offensive, and neither is someone praying. It's not you're life, and the government isn't forcing you to pray, so go to a public library and study reasons why god doesn't exist if you want to, but leave everyone else the hell alone. Freedom of religion doesn't mean the absence of religion.

The tebowing thing isn't that big of a deal in and of itself. What I have a problem with is outright hostility toward religion. Just because you think you're too "scientific," hip, progressive or educated to believe in god doesn't make you superior. People hate religion because they want to live their lives in a selfish manner, without facing consequences and religion threatens that view. Religion compels people to live a moral life, which should be admired, not attacked.

Tebowing isn't Christian anyways: Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...." Public prayer is frowned up. Read the book Timmy.

@MrMilagroqq Sounds like someone is plain striken with envy... Who's rich and famous you or Tim Tebow? He's living the life you'll never have in your wildest dreams. And yes he has expressed his religious views publically but again this is the United States of America and he has every right under the Constitution to do so. So why don't you cry about it?
