Honestly I think it may just be because the artist is male and thus implicitly made the male-centric song easier to relate to. If a woman made the Ramona Flowers song I'm sure there'd be a bunch of chronically online wannabe alternative femcels saying they relate.

I feel like the lyrics could have been reworked a bit like instead of saying he watched Anime, he could have said something among the lines of he watched sailor moon and felt so in tune to a Fictional character made in Japan. And does what feel like this? One's just lacking the energy that the other one had.

It’s hard to word this, without sounding like I have a problem with either version, but here goes. I feel like the original one pretty much boiled down to different ways of saying “She’s a roastie who is such a dirty whore that she only has value, even sexually, to pedos in denial. Oh, and she’s a smelly poser goblin who nobody likes.” Like that’s pretty much the whole song. So to summarize, the song is about females who don’t have a real personality outside of hyper-sexualization, are in complete denial about their market value, and everything they like either sucks, involves sucking, or is gross. With this song, it’s a different side of the same coin, instead of the original song talking putting out too much, this song is about how the subject doesn’t get laid, partly because he is in denial and overly sexualizes things. Every hobby he has either sucks, invokes sucking, or is filthy… and he is in denial about his current market value (Sound familiar?) As far as the upbringing, it is poking fun at the upbringing just being weeb shit (like anime and vidya) and/or the internet. The ideologies aren’t exactly clear. But for a parody, this lampshades the original fairly well I think. I just wish the mixing was a little less jarring but not a huge complaint considering it’s a silly internet parody of a silly parody of early internet culture song.
@chrissant6277Ай бұрын
@@jbasher94 Yknow it's just as easy to say this version is saying "man bad for liking anime and youtube" if you boil it down that far too. Which is essentially what you did. The first and this one delve into their respective discussions. Both regarding ideology, both regarding decisions, both regarding the hateful rhetoric one might espouse.

Apparently there’s now a companion piece to that song… and this one. “Fuck Scott pilgrim” by estrogen projection is an actual song and I think may have been a response. And I don’t think either actually get Scott pilgrim and now “Ramona Flowers ruined a whole generation of women” helped create incles that are needlessly antagonistic to girls with dyed hair

Nah the parody song is just funny. Real women just actually suck, so it's funny to compare them to that movie. Because anyone on the singles market under 35 knows the women are easy and irresponsible and the men are often wimpy and effeminate.
