Removing the spring with a finger? I would do that all the time, if my fingers could reach it and I wouldn't need a screwdriver. The AGM MG42 is a nice exception, although I then have to hold the springloaded catch to allow the spring guide to be jettisoned. Toolless is the way it should always be.
