Great looking sandrail! Love all the great parts it has on it. Has alot of power , and i enjoyed watching you work on it. I really think her father would be proud of you! Great job. I just bought my own sandrail, but i need to get it going. Thanks for the lesson

We bought a used sand rail for me so that I could drive in the dunes with my husband (who built his rail in the 70s). He built a new motor (2110), rebuilt the transaxle, installed new disc brakes, replaced the duel Webers, changed the torsion bars and spring plates and shock absorbers, put in rack and pinion steering and made other repairs and upgrades - it’s been a lot of fun - don’t get rid of yours! He says, “A Volkswagen repair manual would be helpful; if you can fix motorcycles, you can fix VWs.” 😊 🏎️💨

I did and I was always told with vw's. If there isn't any oil under them there isn't any oil in them.. lol

Its not junk, but require so much understanding and learning that it's not worth it. Harleys and Jeeps are easier than a high performance VW. Its either your only hobby or it sets parked in your yard.

Awesome pictures. I like the bridge in the background. It looks like Dibleys beach below the Lewis and Clark bridge where i launch my boat in summer time
