"To rethink data not as stored records or transient messages, but as a continually updating stream of events" -- makes NO sense. This continual event stream will either need to persist for business reasons, in which case it'll become a 'data store', or it'll not be so, in which case it'll be 'transient'. The talk was glib and interesting, but fundamentally a bit deluded about the complex world of data in enterprises.
