My 2010 Grand Marquis has 96,700 miles. I have only owned Panther cars for 32 1/2 of the last 35 years. I had two Crown Victorias previously. I am 60 and hope my Grand Marquis lasts the remainder of my life.

Glad you got another Panther platform Mercury Grand Marquis to review not only that they don't make them like they used to but also miss them days

I'm currently the owner of an '06 GM much like the one in video. And although your comment about about the plastic forest is funny.....it is not correct. The fake wood trim on these Panther platform cars is actually rolled-formed metal. Anyone who has ever had to remove trim piece can attest to this fact. The design is supposed to resemble burled walnut grain. Also, the little plastic triangle knockout on the rear door armrest is not where the ash trays used to be on the previous generation of Panthers. The rear door ash trays were located just forward of the rectangle housing for the door handle on the door panel. They just popped out with ease with a detent clip for emptying. And there are actually 4 different ways to open rear decklid to this behemoth. #1: The ignition key.....which opens all locks on car. #2: The remote button on the driver's door....which is 'live', meaning ignition switch does not need to be in 'accessory' or 'engine on' position. #3. The trunk release button on the key fob. And #4: By using the 5 digit code to unlock front doors, driver can also unlock the rear doors by depressing a series of more buttons. And owners manual says you can also release rear decklid by pressing other buttons as well. But you must do so within seconds of pressing original 5 digit code. And FYI, the 50/50 split bench front seat in this car has been referred to as "Twin Comfort Lounge Seating" by FoMoCo for the last 50 years. And although it will physically seat three adults, unless both seats are adjusted the same..... it would be a most uncomfortable ride. These cars are great. Good video. Sweet ride!

Car and Driver's running joke that a De Sade version never got made 😂

Excellent cars, I always thought these had a nice interior too. I’ll never be a fan of the woodgrain trim on any vehicle though, very strange automotive trend.

Its spelled "Grand Marquis" NOT Marquise. Pronounced "Mar kee". Black folks tend to mispronounced the name of this vehicle quite often like this.

Oh my gosh. 🤦♂️ You are absolutely correct! I cannot believe that all this time, I never noticed the a sense of the “e”! Thank you for the correction!
