Thanks for video, this made it so easy as there are few different carb set ups on toro and you did great at explaining all of it. Took me 20 min before i had fresh gas in it and was mowing lawn.

I replaced and acting like wants to start but wont. I was told to prime it, but no primer on my Toro. If I put some gas in the carburetor it acts like it wants to start but won't. How much gas can I put in the carb w/o flooding it? Any help/ideas??

Always start with the easy stuff, first, get a can of carb cleaner or starter fluid take off the air filter housing and air filter and spray some directly in past the butterfly, it's what sits above the carburetor where it gets sucked into the cylinder. Then try starting. If it starts and dies you most likely have a defective carb and should clean or replace. check the spark plug to make sure it's clean, replace if needed. Try starting after every step. Second, pull off the fuel line to see if fuel is flowing to the carb. I would imagine it is, but I have seen them plugged. Next pull off the top cover to see the flywheel, pulling on the baler, the handle you squeeze when starting, it's connected to the flywheel by a wire. At the end of that is a "magnet" when you release it it touches the flywheel which shuts off the engine. If you squeeze it and it comes off the flywheel you can rule that out. Did you ever hit anything? If yes, you may have sheered the flywheel key which is located under the flywheel, that may need checked? If all of this fails, the next step would be to check the valves, which may require the expertise of a small engine mechanic. Keep me posted. I will assist.
