I’m a huge Neighbours addict, so, Thank you, I enjoyed seeing what it’s like when filming isn’t going on. I’m just surprised the company that produces Neighbours haven’t bought these houses by now. It must be awful living there, with fans lingering outside your house all the time, and taking videos like this.

the show began decades ago. If people don't like the visitors, they have had plenty of time to sell up and move on!

From what I hear the money the residents get is pretty good to pass up. By the end though, the production company did rent the ‘Robinson’ house when previous tenants moved out and they used it as a storage/green room right to the end. The only house that went up for sale in the 37 years I believe was the one that Toadie lived in, so I would say the owners had a pretty good deal to not want to sell in the first place

Fantastic to see these..."Genuine Houses" still here...I'd forgot the "Set-Locations" for the back-garden and pool-locations were done at Nunawading studios....

The second house was originally where Max Ramsay and his wife, Maria, lived with their two sons, Shane and Danny. The third house was the Robinson's. Jim, the widowed dad, his children, Julie, Paul, Scott and Lucy. And also Jim's mother-in-law, Helen Daniels. The fourth house was where Des Clarke lived with his crabby, nosy mother, Eileen. Later joined by Daphne. I don't think the other houses were shown much or were included in the storylines for the first year of Neighbours. They were included from 1986 onwards, if I'm not mistaken. I always loved the houses that had the driveways that sloped down, and the garage formed part of the house, with the (assumed) bedrooms being built on top of the garage. Thanks for sharing this video. 😊😊

Went there in 2002 for first time. No security on the street then we just filmed and spoke to the old guy that lives in Harold’s old house. Then went back years later couple times and there is security there now. Used to take my work van for a drive down it if I was passing when lived in Melbourne too 😂

They've always had security, even as far back as 1986, if there's no security there it means there's no filming on that day.

They always have security guards there when filming is going on, to stop people interfering during filming. The rest of the time, they have a random security firm that patrols the area from time to time, just to keep an eye on things, etc.

’ve not watched Neighbours in over 26 years! The houses I saw in this video, Clive Gibbons, The Ramsey’s, Mrs Mangel’s?? 🇬🇧
@mebeme0078 ай бұрын
Geez, that's going back. Clive came back into it a few years back, too. Along with a couple of others from the 80's era, too. Plain Jane super brain was one of them. I haven't watched the show fully in about 10-12 years. Watched it religiously from the very first episode, up until about 10-12 years ago and just got tired of the same old storylines being rehashed, but with using newer cast members instead. I do tune in once in a while, though, just to see who's on it and so on. So many new faces now, it put me right off bothering to try and get back into it again.

Don't think the houses would be demolished as they are real homes that people live in. The owners must be looking forward to just being able to live normally now that filming won't be going on there anymore! They literally had to live to a schedule and were told when they could be home, had to clear it before making any changes to the outside, couldn't even have their cars in the driveway, had to park at the end of the road whilst filming was going on! Now they'll be able to come and go as they please, and can wake up in the morning and not see a production crew outside. They won't know what to do with themselves! :)

Now that Neighbours has finished does it mean it's a public road again?
@arcanekand2 жыл бұрын
It's always been a public road, the houses are lived in with families. They got paid when filming takes place because of the disruption caused. They don't film the interiors of the houses, only the exterior (the interior/backyard shots were filmed in the studios at Nunawading in Melbourne which includes Harold's café the Lassiters complex and lake) which is why the curtains/blinds are always closed when exterior shots are filmed. Also, it was a pain for the residents of pin OK court as they couldn't alter the front of their houses with things such as a porch or it would affect the show.
