Neighbours on Newminster Road, Fenham - 1980s

I know both of the kids in this video. It's kind of blew my mind to see this. I used to hang around with them both. We all went to Stocksfield Avenue primary school in the late 70s early 80s. The kid on the right with dark hair is Graeme Murray and the kid on the left is David Lees. I also recognise Mr Murray (the gentleman gardening), Graeme's dad from when i used to go to Graeme's house to play. As far as i know they are both doing well. I haven't lived in Newcastle myself since 2001 (lived down South for 20 yrs). But i used to live in Kelso gardens (just off the west road) near the crematorium, then i moved to Milvain Avenue, also off the west road near the general hospital. You can all imagine my surprise when i stumbled across this video to watch, to then realise that people i know are in it. Thanks for the memories.

Graeme is my brother and it has brought so many happy memories. The swing that kept coming out of the ground. Mam and Dad's brown sheets and of course, the amazing Kelly. Memories are so precious. X

It's been years since i saw you, the last time i saw Graeme & Kay they were both working at Foundation nightclub...used to be the Riverside.

It was my sister Kay who used to help out with searches at the Riverside. I am the oldest sister. It's like a breath of happiness all of this. Happy memories. Xx

great video...my nan lived in newminster road in the 80s too... but on the poor side of cedar road haha.. did you know Mrs Lloyd who lived there and was a school teacher too?

Sorry, didn't know Mrs Lloyd myself. Don't know if my parents would have known, but I will ask my mother next time I see her.
