I wish they stopped trying to insert the colour pink in all of the ghouls. They used to have very distinctive color pallettes and styles and I think they're trying to keep them "cohesive", but in a way they end up jeopardizing their unique identities on the process

I don’t mind they put pink in them but please at least make the colour match with each other, not pop out from no where. Like of course ghouls can wear any colour, but is that mean they can randomly adding colour that doesn’t match? Just like they failed to put pink in blue Lagoona. Putting pink blushes on blue skin is just don’t work. Not because the blue skin is bad, it’s the pink blush.

@@cassieoliveira13 it's not just the colors, I don't see their personal styles anymore, Frankie used to have the prep school look, draculaura was the lolita goth, clawdeen had the furs and more of a street style, Cleo was the high glam opulent one and lagoona the sporty one. That's not the case in G3, you can basically swap most of their clothes because they're not character based fashion dolls anymore

@@matheusluz6829 Lagoona has only had 2 dolls though. And I still see them as such. Frankie has sweaters and plaids, Clawdeen has her animal prints and streetwear, and Lagoona is still sporty, but just more of a 2023 trendy sporty. I can't pin down Cleo and Draculaura though just yet. You're right that they're not their same distinct looks yes, but I think you can still tell the overall styles.

The problem is the outfits aren’t cohesive, the designers are too focused with the themes around the outfit, Cleo being a mummy, instead of making it all work together into one cohesive look, and it doesn’t help that the materials used are cheap

I personally liked her but not as much as I liked Lagoona or Draculora. I think the problem is they went for a pink? Pink doesn't really complement blue and yellow. A deep red could look nice on her, or just keep the blue theme. The only way I see pink looking good on her is that if she's wearing complementary outfits that goes with that color, if that makes sense. But she is definitely #3 on my list! I'm conflicted of I love Lagoona or Draculora more. I'm so hyped to get my hands on one of these dollies 🙌 Edit: I wrote this very quickly before work so lemmie express what I meant really quick lol. Blue and yellow def does complement pink, what I tried saying was that that specific shade of pink doesn't really vibe well with her outfits. I think the pink does go with the blue and yellow (after all, it's a triad of the 3 primary colors, you can't go wrong with that) the problem is that it doesn't feel like Cleo! I agree that a deep red would have looked waaayy better on her, also giving her a more royal look which is what she is after all

Pink does complement blue and yellow? I think it's the shade of pink that's throwing everyone off, or maybe they should have dome more to incorporate it into her design because as is it feels tacked on and unnecessary

But just because I don't like it doesn't mean anyone else can't enjoy it. Edit: I re-read my comment and I did say that blue and yellow didn't complement pink lol my bad. I agree Lagoonas earrings are my fav in this line too. I love the hot sauce. I like dolls with bangs but I see what you mean on it being separate I do think it could look better. Def the fashion isn’t very exciting in this line and it’s very cheap I think the $29.99 price is on the huge chunk of plastic with locker etc 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I really like her hair shape. It reminds me of a mummy's mask, and ancient Egyptian art where they have those big symmetrical head pieces. If she had her lip ring, she would be my favourite.

Before i was thinking i might get this Cleo because i liked the promo pictures but after this i think I’m happy with my base Cleo. I’m not excited by the outfits aside from the shoes and i don’t like the bangs as much as i thought i would. Idk i think they make her look oddly too nice??? Growing up, I loved Monster High (and Bratz) because they were different and didn't shove hot pink in our faces like Barbie does. Now, they are and it makes me disappointed. I don't think it would be as bad if Mattel at least used different shades of pinks to compliment character color palettes, but no, they always have to default into that ugly hot pink I grew to loathe. Idk man, I hope they step away from pink and lean more goth like they used to, but I doubt it :/

I really wish that the bandage effect had been painted to more resemble bandages rather than skin tone.. it looks like she has taken her bandages off and, due to water retention possibly, it has left a bandage imprint on her skin. Thanks for another brilliant video/review by the way.

I’m actually going to try and mod my 2DS! I have a question though about the 2DS itself, My 2DS’s top screen has a darker/blue tint on it compared to the bottom one! I wish they took their time with Cleo. I’ve never been the biggest fan of any dolls for her. I just feel like they don’t think much about her. Like giving her a scarab inspaired two piece would been so pretty. With dark teal and green. Maybe doing a mesh bell sleeve that’s draped woulda been so pretty and pairing it with a structured kinda skirt. Her heels coulda be so pretty and her hair coulda just been better. I don’t get the pink going on. I think if they chose some new jewel tones it’d be prettier. And just looked into her Egyptian heritage and pulled inspiration from it rather than just giving her bandages on every article of clothing. Like maybe a bandage inspired dress where they use some skill to give it a authentic bandaged look would be neat. And just make it pretty 🤩 like I have such better ideas for this doll than these creators for these dolls. The main focus is just Frankie and Draculaura I love both those dolls but I do wish they’d bring some attention to the dolls who are lacking.

Cleo has been my favorite character ever for 10 years now, so when I saw her skulltimate secrets doll I was a little disappointed. Though, I’ve really warmed up to her, and I think with some restyling she’ll be really pretty. Still not a fan of the pink though
