Neil Adler - J S Bach Cello Suite - Chromatic Harmonica

On the Coral Coast of Fiji I found the reverberant Korolevu Chapel overlooking the South Pacific at sunset, and was inspired to recall the Bach Cello Suite #1. Thanks to Wil Galison to suggest the transposition to C. Minor editing for 12 hole adaptation and too much Kava.

Thx Barry. Well, I've been at the Chromatic now 16 yrs, and a pro pianist for 40. The piece I have used as a practice warmup for about a year. I'm not a 'performance perfect' player, but a jazz improvisor. You can find several technically better versions, and classical players reach a consistency that eludes me. Good fundamentals, time and expression do a lot to tell your story.

Sounds like Time has to be my best friend here, Neil, so thank you for that....practising dentistry for 40 years has ruined the freedom in my right hand, and suggested finally giving up on, and selling my guitars. So the Chromatic has been only worked with for about 3/4 years, and just maybe the Prelude is a step too far at this moment....although your sound is so seductive that giving it a miss is not really possible! I have been notating my old guitar pieces for the harmonica, and Sleepers Awake from Cantata 140 is now sounding quite good.....so all I need now is the setting sun, and an available Greek Chapel! Just as an aside....any advice on learning the Prelude??? all the best Barry C.

Prelude is all wide jumps and for that, relatively difficult. Many pieces are more linear and simple scalar. You can hunt a local teacher/adviser of seek Skype long distance help. Good Luck.
