Agree. Not all American music should be judged in the same way Japanese music should be. Both countries have rock, pop , hip hop, industrial, goth, etc. You can love music from all over the world. I agree American pop music is terrible though and hurts my brain cells, but that's only because i'm not a fan of pop music at all.

There is a discredit with Visual Kei always (here we go with America wanting so much attention even by industry standard) and it is a fact. This entire album is solidified-proof first and foremost, that Japan’s rock scenes had it/did the thing before America in the entire 1990’s. From the “look,” makeup, hair aesthetics, and swing-sound of later 2000s post-hardcore; it all started in Japan, and it came from the Visual-Kei Scene of 1990-1999. They did all of this before that mid-2000’s emo/metalcore scene developed across the world and America. The point here, is the obvious discrediting of Japans work for many years as the true founding innovations of a part of a well loved sound genre. I love my Japanese peoples and peoples of me around the world. 🖤

Glad to hear it! Old school visual kei has a certain raw grainy love to it that newer jrock just can't replicate.
