The earlier post was a distraction what I meant to say was that when I first heard this song on the radio back in 1978 (ok...ok I am only 55) I assumed it had been penned by Neil himself because the phrasing, lyrics, bridge and melody made it sound like the classic Neil composition. When I bought the LP later, I was surprised to note that the song had been penned by Bob Gaudio (of the Four Seasons and Neil's producer at the time) and his wife (Bob's) Judy Parker. I was totally dumb founded, but then I realized what an amazing songwriting duo these two were. They had tailored the song to exactly suit Neil so that even his long time fans were taken for a ride.

Neil thank you for the beautiful songs you shared. He is jealous of you and I can't listen any more. You are the only one he is jealous of but that is due to your being a great song writer.
