While on holiday in Thailand in 1992 I was shot through the chest by the Thai Army and was in critical condition for weeks. Being a New Zealander another kiwi expat came to visit me and asked if I wanted any music. I requested Neil and it was his musical medicine that really started my healing. I was in hospital for three months and listend to the Cassette every day. Thanks Neil you brightened by darkest days.

I am probably one of the few that enjoyed this movie. Between the music and the scenery just took you away. I had lost my VHS copy, so just got the DVD copy. Also, replaced my first vinyl record soundtrack I bought in the early 70's. I was able to find two sealed original copies. Love the music

You are not the only one.I loved both, the movie and the music. The inocence, the breathtaking views, and the music, it was beautiful. I saw it in 1977, I was 19 then. I had the LP and played it once and again. And today 63, You Tube brings me back this jewel😍

@@viviana-7569Lovely to read your post. I went to see JLS with a dear friend during 1978. We loved this music. Sadly Nan is no longer with us, but the music reminds me of many happy times and memories. I have the film on DVD and CD but its the music that stays with me. I was very fortunate to attend a Neil Diamond concert during a trip to USA in 1976.

The Great Neil Simon,,,He was an inspiration for us, and a message of hope in the future in the late 60 and early 70... we began to fly then , in a dream skies and places, we just wanted to fly...no matter the money... Bunch of idiots,,,but we had our days and our fun,so after 48 years of flying I said over and out.

Some of the Lost Music of Neil Diamond!! This was from a period of time where he was searching for a direction in his music. Although the movie flopped in the theatres the music went on to win him many awards, and the performer evolved one of his best studio albums came from this self imposed Sabbatical from performing. Wonderful music & composition, but, in the movie so many birds were sacrificed &, now, that has ruined it for us. Yes, several of those 'Seagulls' [note they were not all the same colour] & the injured one on the tip was left to die. A beautiful movie marred by inhumanity.

Well ST you have your right to an opinion. I get my info from the artist not from myself. Neil commented many years ago think it was around 1978 that he was searching for a direction for his music to go. The zen of it all is that he had to search to find what he already had. After" Beautiful Noise" Neil's Music music hit some strange stumbling blocks that took a lot of reflection.By returning to his " Roots" this put Neil back in the Superstardom realm that he currently now inhabits.
