To my mom , she died in September, 50 years ago. We danced around the room when I was little. Dad had long disappeared into someone else's bed .she only wanted the best for me. She was gone, long b4 her grandchildren were born or I was even married. She missed so much. Was such a strong, brave woman, she is sadly missed.

Yes I was much loved and she cared to raise me with good social standards. I wasn't subjected to a whole heap of men staying overnight or longer. For that I will always be grateful. There were interested men, but she made them behave and be polite , if they were serious it was with flowers and chocolates! Lol.

On a September Morning in 1980 they played this at my German radio station. The evening before we my later wife and me came close together and I knew I would see her next saturday. The feelings this song gave to me were undescribable. I was happy then, really god like happy. We married five years later and I have a daughter (she is 26 now) and two sons (24 and 23) but there was something wrong, something between us. We divorced in 2001. I now have heard Neil‘s great song for the first in full length. It was a terrible feeling but I didn‘t cry. I remembered what real happininess feels like and that hurted me very much though.

I have found that the best way to handle the disappointment of a failed marriage is to figure out what went wrong, if that is possible, and try to learn the lessons that came out of it. Then apply those lessons to my next relationship, to make that one better. Soul searching can be painful, but in the end you're a stronger, wiser, and better person.

Thanks for your post. I was married for 12 years to my sweetheart. I was her caretaker for the last 5 years of her life, her whole family having abandoned her. I was a widower at 44. I didn't know I could love that deeply.

My advice to you is to cherish her memory, and after a while, start over. I went on a dating site, went out with several women until I met my current girlfriend. She is a widow with 2 grown children. There have been rough spots but were both commited to making this relationship work. You owe it to yourself to find happiness again, while cherishing your wife's memory.
