Thank you Neil, that was absolutely brilliant, the truth is slowly coming out. The problem as I see it though is, judging from the comments, that the majority of people do not have a clue what's actually happening at the moment. They blithely think ( or don't it would appear) that they are going to be able to continue to have cash in their pocket when in actual fact their bank account will be run by the government. Any slight demeanor such as eating incorrct foods such as meat, and your assets are frozen, no cash, no food , no petrol. I really despair that the sheep will never wake up. It's later than we think.

It will never change which ever political party you vote for. Mass action or a revolution may be the answer. If the current situation isn’t sorted, this is very possible. Name one party that will make the changes needed? The Banks and Big Business will ensure they are replaced.
@chrisbarry20292 жыл бұрын
@@fen0000 But I cannot think of a solution. Maybe a time will come when bartering stuff and services is all I have to offer, but I feel the custard is going to hit the fan way before that kind of system is communally acceptable. Buying gold bars and waiting years for things to 'settle' will not help get a leaking roof repaired during a financial crisis.

@@olddouchebag Well, come on. Everything he said was basically correct and has been stated for a long time by many before him who were not as mainstream nor embedded in academia. Fractional Reserve, Fiat currency is a racket irrespective of some of the subtleties you may like to argue over. innit.

@@olddouchebag I must have missed cheap and mistaken good for repossessions and bail-ins at the expense of the taxpayer. Sadly, the markets and the banking "system" thrive parasitically off everyone else's hard work. It could be a good thing, but the inherent corruption of human nature when in a position of opportunity will likely prevent it ever being the case. The interest on the "nothing" is what creates the problems for people of the West, and those who would attempt to create a system of their own not based on such principles and practices will see themselves attacked by the corporate military apparatus after being besmirched for several years in the corporate media. Gaddafi being a prime example.
@anthonystewart6772 жыл бұрын
@@olddouchebag And the Governments are forever indebted to those Central Banks that like to pretend they are part of the said Governments. Hence perpetual debt that cannot ever, ever be repaid and is hence passed on and brokered against future work of the future workers. Amounts commercial banks may be told are available - are actually somewhat of a moot point as regularly illustrated by Quantitive Easing. Like I stated previously: the subtleties some may like to debate do not change the basic facts. lololol.

Many have known this for years, it's strange that it's only now as we're on the brink of Sovereign Debt crisis that people like Neil Oliver get to speak sbout it, and that's a good thing because he has a big audience. Howard Buffett warned the world of the absence of a Gold standard, but the world didn't listen, and he we are, the collapse of the system right before us, and it csnt come a day too soon. @Richard Fox It is not silly at all. Most people do not have the random thought to visit a Wiki site to try and understand our monetary system. And the likes of Wiki is one of the last places you should visit to get accurate information. Our monetary system is not secret. It is just surrounded by so much smoke and mirrors as to make it barely comprehensible. That is by design and not an accident. It is designed to make the "little" people believe they are too stupid or uneducated to understand such a complicated subject. It is something best left to our "betters". "Money as Debt" is an excellent starting point for people who have never given any consideration as to how our monetary system works. As in most things, people have to learn how to walk before they try to run.
