I never appreciated Neil Sedaka until recently. Not only is he a top talent, he seems like an incredibly genuine person and is humble when he could just as easily be conceited. It's so refreshing to listen to him talk and be open with anyone that asks him a question. Laughter in the Rain was a guilty pleasure for me and until now never admitted that I loved that tune. It was simply one of the best songs ever written and performed.

A true STAR! Neil is an amazing performer. I never get tired to hear his sing and even sit down like this and just speak. I had to edit and add my thoughts. Neil is right where he wants to be in his life. He seems very happy and satisfied these days. I'm so happy for him.

always loved neil sedaka and his output of great pop songs! he really is very talented as a songwriter and singer. went to see him perform live in august (2016) and he was terrific and looked and sounded wonderful. its easy to understand why he has lasted in the music business for almost 60 years now. you can tell he really appreciates his fans and is grateful for all he has in his life. this was a an endearing and interesting interview.

I'm an artist. I write songs. Many people say or think at least:"ah YOU claim to be an artist." Like you can't believe in or define yourself. Someone ELSE defines who you are. Not YOU or your Maker. Someone who gave up on themselves and decided to become a jerk Instead. But after i say what i do i always say: "I may very well be the worst artist on the planet. The worst artist whoever WALKED ON EARTH ! But i am one. True jerks can't even acknowledge that. I love listening to artists like Neil talk. I may suck but i know exactly what they're talking about. I'm not valedictorian or cum laude of the school or road to art but i did graduate. Thank you Lord for our brother Neil Sedaka. He's modest humble and great.

Neil Sedaka, his brain is so sharp, focused on every question at this age, decades into his career. I suspect he somehow avoided the drug, and heavy booze culture so easily seen in his industry. Just the fact of the long marriage, with kids and grandkids so much a part of his life speaks highly of his lifestyle.

What is really cool: Sedaka is such a fine musician: he slowed down the "dom shooby doo dom dom.." and did BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO, like a ballad, lush strings, heart-achingly lovely. And it only goes to show ya, eh??
