Fan since ‘83 and I think Elysium is my favorite album. Love how Neil writes about his experiences of growing older, the inconsiderate things people say and how time marches on.

In that case, knowing my distaste for Hold On, I can say one of their most amazing and beautiful songs is "INVISIBLE". About exactly what you said, getting old and all the stuff that comes with it.

That was a funny song. Seems you tapped into your inner Oscar Wilde on that one. You seem to be doing a lot of self-reflection songs now. I noticed it with "The Pop Kids", then "Burning Down the Heather", and now "New London Boy". What a wondrous adventure you've had! I saw you and Chris perform once here in L.A. and I was struck with the thought that you seem drawn to a certain torch song element which you oft return to once the bangers are given a breather. It will never happen, but I could easily imagine you doing a solo album with Massive Attack as a sort of male Traci Thorn and having it released on Blue Note. (hope that idea gives you a laugh). I deplore USA commercial radio. Your track "Love Etc." should've been a massive hit over here, and ditto for "New York City Boy"! I am still processing your new album. I think the single is not "Loneliness", but the exquisite "Feel". I am still playing some of your older tracks quite often and have lately been enamored with a wild remix of "We All Feel Better in the Dark", the epic sounding "Luna Park", the original version of "West End Girls" which I danced to with my Italian BF at a little gay dance club in Santa Monica in the '80s (what can I say? I still listen to "Passion" by The Flirts!), "One More Chance", and "Love Comes Quickly", which has certainly proven true for me unexpectedly in my more seasoned years. Thank you for for your masterpiece, "Behavior"! I will always be a fan.

Most awful for me is HOLD ON.

OMG, no! Fan since ‘83 here and I LOVE “Hold On.” Those additional vocalists make it feel like a Broadway musical, and the message-of perseverance through trying times-is timeless. Favorite track on Elysium.

@@astropioneer3296 Then I change my mind and I say "Electricity" :D or....."Winner"

@@astropioneer3296 An unpopular opinion among fans it seems, but I wholeheartedly agree. Plus I find this song very comforting

@@winterland2011 I like Electricity lol. And I don't hate Winner even if I don't find it single worthy

It wasn't the song. The whole album was produced as if to appeal to an aging audience base. It was PSB without teeth. The best track was "Invisible". There are always great tracks on every album by these guys.

one of the most awful songs of their career, maybe thats the point. For those people who approached them and said all those nonsense, mostly cab drivers Id guess.
