Created between January and September 1971, this docu-film takes us on an intimate journey to Young’s farm in Northern California for the ‘Harvest Barn’ sessions, to London for an iconic performance with the London Symphony Orchestra and to Nashville where the then 20 something Neil Young worked on various tracks of this signature album. The feature is a fan piece that has never been seen before. Performance and rehearsal content is intertwined into creative storytelling and includes most of the tracks from album Harvest (released in 1972) including “Heart of Gold”, “A Man Needs A Maid”, “Alabama” and “Old Man”.
In addition to the film, this screening event includes an introduction by Neil Young, recorded exclusively for movie theatre audiences. Hear Neil highlight the significance of Harvest, 50 years after its release, and how the recording of the album and the movie came together.

LOST & FOUND. 'HARVEST TIME'.This is incredible on the big screen.The full stereo surround sound at The Odeon Covent Garden London (Formerly The Savile Theatre in the 1960's) literally blew me away. As did their freezing air con unit, but that's another story. Who says musicians can't make Rock Documentaries? Eh? Well, Neil Young certainly can. And rather well, too. This is a lost gem to behold. The 50th Anniversary of his Warner Reprise album Harvest is here, and in the shops just along the road in Fopp, Shaftesbury Avenue. Cheers all. Henry.

Neil, you mean so much to me since I was a young person (15) . I’m 67 now as I write this and I know your music will stay with me forever. I still listen to all your albums in the I truly appreciate all your musical and lyrical contributions to the world. I really love the pure emotion that you put into your music, and I will continue to add that element wherever I am and whoever I am with. I got into Young the summer of 92 when the album was celebrating the 20 year anniversary. I was 20. A couple months later Harvest moon came out. The first brand new Young Lp I got from him. Since then I filled all the gaps and own close to everything. What an artist. Still going at it. Looking forward to seeing this despite having seen a lot of harvest footage. Hoping for a good amount of unseen stuff.

In 1971 NEIL YOUNG, had After The Goldrush completed. From a studio at his home in Topanga Canyon - Los Angeles.Graham Nash/Joni Mitchell Cass Elliott Glen Frey and Jackson Browne would occupy homes in nearby Laural Canyon Broken Arrow ranch Half Moon Bay Ca. was purchased that year from three lawyers . Work began on Harvest . A ranch hand and his Mrs. Louis & Charlotte Avia occupied the ranch Louis Avia would become the subject of Neil Young "s classic Old Man

Just saw it. Fucking amazing. I absorbed the Harvest album into my cells as a teen...it's now in my DNA. To see almost every anticipated note performed...both in ranch barn and studio w London Symphony Orchestra was almost too much...I actually fought back a tear at one point. And all the dialog bits in between w Neil, band and others is just perfect. Damn. Go see it when can if you love this record.

Big fan since the late '60. I was twelve y/o and a cousin had the Woodstock album. Back then I didn't even have a record player. The Woodstock album was the 'kick-off' to start saving for a modest record player and that ultimately turned into fledge state-of-the-art sound systems. It was also the start of so many Neil Young albums on my shelf. My love for Neil Young's music and CSNY was `lso fueled by local 'pirate' (illegal) radio stations I used to listen to when I was in my Teens. Now, so many years later, my youngest who's in his 20s is a big, big fan like me! In short: my personal history is tangled with Neil Young's music.

I started listening to music in the early 70s, listening to YOU sing this album, Neil. And it's STILL such a part of my musical taste.. Hard to believe.. HAVE LOVED YOUR MUSIC MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE. I'll never forget having the tape on in the car , with my 3-4 yr old in her car seat. I had given her a harmonica..(same key as yours) .She was sucking in and out on that thing , sounding like she was playing along with you. Love you Neil . I have played and sang your songs for many friends and performed at Open Mic: Hurricane, Down by the River, Cortez the Killer, Old Man, are all part of my repertoire. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Don't stop doing what you do. I miss the Bridge School benefits and have come to see you at Farm Aid. You rock my world.

I love watching artists recording classic albums because the aura of making 'em as if they knew it's gonna be relevant for the next generations to come. Just like The Beatles' documentary. Also, seeing Stephen Stills and Graham Nash made me happy.

Can't wait. Anecdote: When I was a late teen in early 1970s, I got called to do a one-day landscape job of installing rolled turf at a property off of Skyline Boulevard. Turned out to be Neil Young's property.
