It’s a very rare, thorough review on M2 comparing different versions. It very informative - thanks. More over, I tried to draw the tail fuselage using Autodesk Fusion 3D to do 3D printing, but gave it up mainly due to my lack of skill in Fusion 3D. Would it be possible to share the 3D design with me? I really like the look of the fuselage you show in your review. Thanks!

Great review, NJ! I love my M2 EVO very much and I like to fly it alternately with my "old" M2 V2 generation helis. The M2 EVO is my favorite but I leave my M2 V2's as they came stock. I have the I feeling that flying different generations of helis with a bit different flight characteristics makes you a better, more versatile pilot. Now I am flying the M4, my first heli with belt driven collective pitch tail and it brings me another step forward.

Thanks for the very informative video. I've been learning helicopters for a little over a year. For the first six months I did nothing but hover. Then I got my M2 EXP. What a difference from the Blade helis. The M2 feels so much bigger than it is. I had no problem leveling the swash and it quickly became my go to heli. I went ahead and got the Evo a couple weeks ago. I'm having some issues getting this one to hover in place, it wants to go backwards and left so I adjusted accordingly but must be doing something wrong. I've got less than an hour on it and I chipped a blade. Definitely buying extras. If you have any advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks for good info instead of the same thing from a different person.

Thanks for the kind words! So I would do the self level tuning procedure which is pretty well documented on KZbin. It's the same as the m2v2 in terms of what you do. If it's still drifting after that the chances are you've hit a harmonic frequency that is messing with the gyros. So try adjusting the headspeed a bit higher, or consider a different thickness of flight controller mounting foam tape. Let me know if any of that helps.

@epic9013 I think both are great though the goosky is more power focused. I would go with whichever has the cheapest spares and good stock. Really both excellent.

I loved the M2v2 it saved me from quitting the hobby a few years ago. I flew the Evo for a couple of months but have now switched to the Goosky S2. Contrary to what you suggest in the video I think the FBL in the Evo is the exact same as the V2/explore. I think the Evo suffers from it. Having flown the Goosky for a month of two the Goosky just flies a lot better. It's sharper, more stable, more responsive and powerful. It's a noticeable jump in performance. I put that down to the fully upgraded FBL in the Goosky. I'm not a fan of the Goosky canopy (which needs to be unscrewed to get at the FBL) or the colour scheme, but in terms of flight performance it does win hands-down. Omp have also increased the price of spares etc and Goosky are ⅓ cheaper on majority of their spares now. That's an honest opinion from an Omp fan...I do think they've dropped the ball not upgrading that FBL. I fly fairly hard 3d and just found the Evo had issues in certain moves that the Goosky does with ease. It's really superb to fly. I hope Omp follow suit and fully upgrade that FBL .. hopefully my next Heli will be Omp again !!. Good review 👍🏾

1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm set will cover you. It's common to nearly all helicopter kits.

not much, its so refined and stripped for power to weight. I cant see where you could do that withough hugely sacrificing battery capacity, or structural integrity. Youd have to lose the canopy, skids for something ulta light and tripod-like. I dont think it would be worth it. The better option is going with the M1 which i have too and also flys fantastically.

How is a C rating a "made up marketing thing"? I mean packs are rated based on internal resistance and their ability to discharge at a given rate... So, again, wut?

Batteries are not 'rated' on their internal resistance, any good battery starts with low internal resistance and as the pack ages that resistance increases, that had nothing to do with the mythical marketing C rating. Its more a guess on cell density and the ability to pull a consistent high cutrent at a give voltage, which is not described in physics as a C rating, nor has it ever been! Please good sir, go find me a physics book with any math including a "C rating" to describe any part of what a battery is or does.. I look forward to your return, were we can conclude the battery industry made it up to sell batteries.
