For your suggestion request, I'd love to see your approach to making damascus. Like, are you making a bunch of stock and using it up as you get project ideas, or do you make the steel bespoke for a specific knife design, etc. With that said, if you wanted to show a mono steel kukri forging process, I'm all about that too. Great video, btw, and thanks for sharing what you do.

My vote is for a Kukri as well. You've shown you use flat stock 8670 for that in a previous video; I vote for something like that as well, as most of us newbies don't work with square/round stock due to not having a press. And as usual, I'm looking forward for you to highlight your mad hammering over anvil skills (just because I don't have a power hammer to replicate 😅). Thank you for sharing the entire process on this ❤

Looks like he cut a rod of wood, slit down the middle to get a compression fit from the hidden tang into the handle. Interesting way of doing it. You can just see a slight difference of colour around the slotted area.

🤔...personally ...i dont trust just epoxy, as i have seen admitedly 5 min epoxy fail just from dropping it. However, I trust a 'flat' rivet with superglue or by itself as there are 1000-2000-year-old swords that the handle rotted away but the bronze or brass riveted pin or peend on pummel is still on them. with scales i take to days to put them on as i like to put one on, drill the hole at the right size for the pin stock, then put the other on and drill the hole. however once i have the material the right thickness...i drill a hole one size up about 1/8th inch thick into the material. then i make a flat rivet so that the rivet fills that slight larger hole, and peen the other end filling that hole...and i have a full size. ya i have a blade were the scales cracked i think it got knocked down by my cat, or I dropped it, or it just absorbed too much moisture (all are possible) no epoxy the handle is still on even though a piece of scale is missing.
