My MBPs have always been silver because that's simply the color the came in but definitely getting the space grey for my next one. I like keeping my electronics to simple and neutral colors. I can't commit to say an orange iMac for example.

No I didn't because people say cases can damage the shape of the MacBook. So I highly recommend just getting a sleeve for the laptop.
