I saw several out of context clips of this before now. This makes so much more sense. The previous clips left out the beginning where Pekora built an identical Subaru house and worked with Haachama to destroy it. They just left in the parts that made Pekora actually look innocent lol. They also cut out what Pekora and Haachama were bargaining over when Haachama wanted Pekoland.

Ah, clips like this bring me back to my first weeks of watching Vtuber content. I remember how bewildered I was after I heard that term in a moistcritical video. So I typed it into my search bar and the first videos i saw were clips of Hololive JP members messing around in Minecraft. And before I realized what was happening, I was hooked. @@usakenvi i wish some clipper included the part when she played psychological trick, that's she was going around preparing stuff but told Subaru that her food point were low so it would take awhile for her to come, it both served buying time and making Subaru unprepared. Iirc Subaru also said the same while eating Pekora's "Lamy's cookie" lol, she knew Pekora at this point, but didn't prepare for Pekora coming naked with a dirt block in her hand.

I thought of characters in media that fulfill a similar purpose to Haachama in their respective stories, and the only ones I could think of were Tom Bombadil and Ungoliath (Shelobs mother who kills the trees of light in the first age) from Lord of the Rings. Both of them are characters that are neither associated with the antagonist's nor the protagonist's agenda, but interact with them out of their own volition. They seem to be older than time itself and noone understands their origins, nature or motivation. Both characters are deeply rooted into their respective environments and seem more to be a part of them than someone inhabiting it (So are Haachama and Hololive). The only difference is that Tom Bombadil is obviously a force of good, as much as Ungoliath is a force of evil, while Haachama doesn't even seem to bother with that concept. Yeah I don't know, that's my shot on it.
