Hana is so vocal with her funny deep voice, and so greedy too! I think Maru prefers boxes to snacks. What a quiet one he is. I love his fluffy bottom!! When hunting, cats sense motion much more than smell. If it’s not moving, they aren’t interested in it.

I think cats rely more on sight and hearing than smell. When hunting prey, it is more by watching for movement, or hearing rustling sounds.

So true💜 My cat loves to fetch but when she can't pair seeing and hearing it land, most of the time she won't find it even if its just a foot away from her lol She's good most of the time as long as she can see the direction her favorite toy mouse is thrown but if she gets confused or distracted and can't hear where it went, she can't sniff it out to save her life so I walk over and push it over to her and she'll grab it and carry it back to where I was sitting like she found it herself lol Cats can smell better than humans but they get "lost" for lack of a better word and turned around crazy easy when they can't use all of their other senses. The toy could be right behind Galaxie less than a foot away and she'll have her back toward it looking in the opposite direction and I tell her "you're such a cat" in the best way 😂
